Put a couple drops of bean-o right in to the pot of beans after you've cooked them, solves the problem.

Yes, you dont need to avoid beans! one thing you can try is Kombu. It's a seaweed and you can find it in a package of about 6 or so slices , one of which just gets put into the cooking beans and then pulled out before eating.
There are other ways too im sure but thats the one i use.

Beans used to give our whole family terrible gas, until I learned about sprouting them! Soak your beans for 12-24 hours or so (depending on how hard they are) rinse, drain well, put in a large jar on your counter and continue to rinse 2 times a day until sprouts appear 1-4 days later, then, cook as normal... problem solved!
