I bought several bags of Cascadian Farms mixed veggies when they were on sale. I figured they would taste better than others because they are organic. Well, to me they still have that waxy frozen veggie taste. Like, when i chew them, they are squeeky on my teeth. Does anyone have any good suggestion for ways to cook them that would take the texture away?
I find I have to be careful when cooking frozen veggies. If I cook them too long...yuck! So, I bring water to a boil, drop them in, and pull them out the minute they are hot. I find they aren't too bad this way. If I leave them to cook too long they taste different and can get rubbery.
