and need to brag.
I belong to an organic/natural food coop and so many staples/sauces/spices, but I seem to get stuck in a run of pulling something out of the freezer. My goal is to make all our meals, and cut down on the meat. I usually print of recipies, then loose them. I never could get organized.
Well, we are taking the kids to Disneyland. It was a very quick decision as we have access to a private plane and the hotel is covered. So, we had to decide right away. We leave next month. I need to find some cash. So I went through my pantry, through the websit for recipies that used the items in my pantry/freezer. All I need to shop for is fresh veggies and dairy, for 5 weeks.
The difference with this meal plan is that I plan dinner for every night, but I don't plan breakfast or lunch. There are always leftovers for lunch and this is what we eat. Breakfast is pretty simple and I have a stock of oatmeal and buckwheat cereal, plus we do eggs and pancakes (I also have a stock of grains to grind into flours). This time I added the recipie to the corresponding day we are eating that dinner. No more searching for the printed recipie, missing ingredients...it's all right there on the fridge. The recipies are the meal plan.
We have some very healthy meals, and some very dh friendly meals. So far each dinner has been great. No more rushing around trying to find lunch items.
