Hey everyone,

I just bought a slow cooker and I have never used one before. I would love to hear your favorite recipes using one...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i like italian lemon chicken:
4 chicken breasts
a handful of italian seasoning
juice of 2 lemons
fresh ground pepper (salt it after it is done if you would like)

simple and easy! cook 3-4 hours high or 8 hours on low.

Here are two that we make every few months. They are really good but not the healthiest.

4 boneless skinless chicken breast
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 1/4 Cup of water
1/4 Cup of margarine/butter melted
1 6oz package bread stuffing mix (you can use Stove Top Stuffing or
a generic brand).

Grease crockpot. Place chicken in crock pot and cover with soup. In
a bowl mix water, butter and stuffing mix. Spoon over chicken. Cook
on low for 4 hours.

Crockpot Chicken with Blackbeans and Cream Cheese

4-5 boneless chicken breasts
1 (15 1/2 ounce) can blackbeans
1 (15 ounce) can corn
1 (15 ounce) jar salsa, any kind
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

4 servings

1. Take 4-5 frozen, yes, frozen, boneless chicken breasts put into
crock-pot.

2. add 1 can of black beans, drained, 1 jar of salsa, 1 can of corn
drained.

3. Keep in crock-pot on high for about 4-5 hours or until chicken
is cooked.

4. Add 1 package of cream cheese (just throw it on top!) and let
sit for about 1/2 hour.

OOH, that sounds good! ^^^

I've put chicken breasts in and covered with spaghetti sauce for easy chicken parmesean.

Also, and this may make some twitch, as it's not healthy or natural necessarily, but I put in a whole roast, a packet of zesty Italian dressing mix and a packet of herb and garlic dressing mix with a cup of water and it's YUMMO!

If anyone wants to e-mail me, I'll respond with a Word file of about 50 crockpot recipes culled from the gigantic crockpot recipes thread in the main forum. I copied and pasted a lot of them, but I did skip a few and left out most of the ones that included a can of cream soup or a packet of whatever (just because I'm trying to get away from those).

You can e-mail liss63074 at yahoo dot com.

meatballs with tomato sauce

1-2 lbs.of ground meat i used turkey
1 cup diced onion
2 tablespoons basil
some italian seasoning depends on you
1 egg
1cup of bread cumbs panko whatever you have even oatmeal works great
1 cup of parm. cheese
2-3 dashes of steak sauce
mix well and roll into balls whatever size you like
add to cooker make sure it is off when you add these

sauce
2 cans or jars or tomatoes with the juice about 32 ounces(i used what i have canned so i dont know)
2 cups water
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup sugar
1 onion diced
4 cloves garlic smashed
italian season
2 tables spoons basil
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste

dump it all in there and let it go on high for about an hour.it sounds like alot of stuff and alot to do but you really just dump everything in and leave it alone the only thing that takes some time is chopping the onions all in all it takes about 10 minutes from start to finish to prep that is!
enjoy!
