I have been looking for the little saying that goes

If you drop it pick it up
If you spill it wipe it up...

and so forth and so on? Maybe you ladies can help me? I will even give you my email if you have a copy of it! I'm desperate to try a new tactic with my kids (the messies) Let me know!

Not really a poem, and I think there are lots of versions, but this is the one I know best:

# If you get it out, put it up.
# If you sleep on it, make it up.
# If you wear it, hang it up.
# If you drop it, pick it up.
# If you dirty it, wash it.
# If you open it, close it.
# If you turn it on, turn it off.
# If it rings, answer it.
# If it howls, feed it.
# If it cries, love it.

I particularly like that version because of that last one - it's so in the spirit of Mothering!
