Can I see a picture of your toddlers room? Particularly if the room must work as a sleeping area and the main play area.

Tomorrow morning I will - right now DS is sleeping. I'm not sure he'd appreciate mama coming in to take photos right now.

I'm in the midst of redecorating my little boy's room. I'll take pictures tonight! although it's not the main playroom, there is a sort of "play area" in that room.

We've had a bout with a 24-hour flu here, so I'll take pics once I get everyone's sheets dried and back on their beds! FWIW, I'd love to see everyone's pics too!

My two kids (1 1/2 and 3 1/2) both share this room. They don't have a playroom, so it's all in here.

This was before Xmas, so it's a bit different now. I moved their dresser into their closet, and added a new set of shelves to hold more toys. They got A LOT for Xmas this year.

I've posted this elsewhere, but here is DS's room http://www.flickr.com/photos/archymo...7608688239541/ (scroll through to see all 12 of the pictures of his room). He sleeps there and tends to play there when DH and I are also on the second floor.

But DS spends most of his time playing in the living and dining rooms.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! I love my kids' room. It's my favorite room in the house, with all the fun bright colors. I'm trying to incorporate more bright pretty colors in the rest of my house since it makes me so happy. (I just wish the kids would keep it clean for ten seconds! I spent 20 minutes the other day getting it PERFECT and within 15 minutes it was trashed again.)

sls, I love all the old stuff in your son's room. I love seeing a mix of new with vintage.

slsurface & PenelopeJune..you both have beautiful little one rooms!

i love the color combo Penelope. in our last home i painted my sons room a similar blue. it was lovely. very peaceful but warm. i love the orange accents. orange and blue are great together. fun stuff!

slsurface: i love the teepee! did you use a pattern? we have an igloo tent in the house that gets a lot of love, but there isnt a place to leave it set up..its a bit big for our small house. your son must love his space. very special. also where is that alphabet poster from? its great!(ETS i read the subtesxt. thrift store find! great one!! )

Long time lurker, first time poster!

I just posted my 3-year-old's room on my blog last week. We spent the day organizing and putting away all the toys. We most play in the living room, but his toys are all stored in his bedroom.

Thanks gals. My whole house is a mixture of old and new. DH and I love to find old pieces of furniture and re-purpose them. We love antiques!

I made the teepee for DS's second birthday last summer. I wanted a tent that he could play in both indoors and outside. The poles can be removed so that the tent can be washed...a must for messy toddlers! Like most of my sewing projects I didn't have a pattern, I just winged it .

Thanks! My mom made them. If you click the pictures you can see them on Flickr.com, where I have tons of notes on each picture.

slsurface - the alphabet poster and cubby are awesome finds!

Crap, I was gonna post pics of my work in progress ( half of the room is still filled with junk) but my toddler got ahold of the camera and who knows where it is now.
But we got our tax refund and have some leftover after paying off our credit cards, so we're going to IKEA on Sunday and I will be buying some furniture for their room as well as getting paint. I'm so excited!!!! These threads are wonderful because they really get me inspired to do things!

My daughter has the same book rack. I bought the matching table too. I'll be back to post pictures of her room after our electricity comes back on. (It's been out for 3 days now)

I love that book rack! I got it at Big Lot's for $29. I want to go back and get the matching table and chairs as well as the toy box. So cute! But first, I have to decided whether or not to get another toddler bed or go with a twin.

green-mama, awesome deal! We love our Expedit. There is a Flickr group of IKEA shelves and you can see how people have used their Expedits - fun if you like looking at other peoples' stuff.

I recommend heading over to Target and getting their Itso bins to hold toys on the Expedit. I'm transferring toys over to the Itso bins, which are cheaper and sturdier than the IKEA version.

ooh! very cute and colorful! I love the castle wall decal. How fun!

We have the same train with all the pieces that puzzle together, I'm just not sure where half of them are hiding

So, I finally bought a new bed for my toddler. We got this one... actually two because my almost 4 yo just had to have one as well. I think I want to go with the fire truck theme and get the matching shelf and table, maybe even figure out my sewing machine and make some bedding and curtains. I'm excited to finally start to decorate (we've only lived here a year )

Love it! A firetruck theme would be very cute! I'm not sure what theme I want to go with. I am very seriously considering the jungle theme, because I have so many items that would go perfectly with it... but I love her wall decals too.
