My stinkin' cats think it is hilarious to jump up there and lounge. And when I try to open/shut the fridge door there is always a paw/tail/face in the way. Dang cats.

We have a ceiling mounted pot rack hanging over the fridge. It blocks access to the liquor cabinet, but we don't go in there often these days so that's OK. On the actual fridge is an extra wooden drying rack that I use every few days when the dishes get backed up.

A basket with breads, pita, chips, etc. It doesn't look cluttered because from below, all we can see is the basket, not the stuff stashed in it. An aloe plant also lives up there for quick access in case of burns.

All the cat stories reminded me of our previous apartment. When we adopted our greyhound he seemed to have a love of bread - he would steal a full loaf and take it to his bed, chew a hole in the bag, and pull out slices to eat. He was tall enough to reach everywhere else with those long legs! The top of the fridge was the only safe spot for it so the bread was always up there - either that or in the closed microwave oven.

ugh! way too much crap. it makes me crazy. :

bananas, cookie jar, roach spray, zip-top bags waiting to be reused, pens, pencils, scissors, kitchen thermometer, toys the kids have been fighting over, a couple of cookbooks, and who knows what else.

Tall folks here with a small kitchen. I have our microwave on top. On top of the microwave I keep two big bowls for making bread, fruit salad, etc. Beside the microwave I have boxes of cereal.

Me.  With 1 spouse, 4 kids, 16 chickens, 74 matchbox cars, 968,562+ legos, a dishwasher waiting to be emptied, a washing machine waiting to be filled and a lost cup of tea in the house.

Our paella pan and cast iron pan are up there because we don't have room for them anywhere else. There's usually some other assorted items that make their way up there as well. I hate it but I don't have room for them anywhere else.

Toys are frequently on time out up there but that's just a short term thing.

A basket that holds dish towels.

A pottery bowl that holds change, dh's wallet, keys, sunglasses, etc.

I try to keep it to just those two things, but it's a constant fight.

The top of our fridge is cluttered. We tend to get pretty bad ants in the summer and winter, so we put things up there that the ants would get into, like open boxes of crackers or bags of chips. For some reason, they don't seem to find stuff up there.

My fridge is pretty old so it gets kind of hot up on top with the air coming from the back of it. I still put things up there though because my kitchen is small and I don't have much cabinet space. I use one of those wire shelfs so I won't block the airflow too much. I have cereal, crackers, cookies and other snacks up there and also one good chef knife and honing stick. It definitely looks cluttered like the rest of my house

I keep a big metal mixing bowl and a large glass serving platter up there. Both items are too large to keep in a cupboard so they just sit up there. It does not look too bad.

I never thought about putting the medicine basket up there. What a great idea!

One of our cats sleeps on ours as well!

I have the lid of a printer paper box that serves as a tray to hold our dishtowels. Also some items that wont fit anywhere else *we have zero counter space and even less cabinents* like the bread pans. Things we don't use that often.

We have a crockpot and nalgene bottles. We can't think of anywhere else the crockpot could go, and we're about to donate those bottles because they're really old and we don't need a zillion bottles!

We keep cereal up there and a basket that is pet central. It holds there shot records and flea/heartworm meds, treats, brush, nail clippers, that kind of stuff that I was constantly losing before.
