my biggest hurdle to decluttering is being 30 miles from goodwill. i've thrown out a lot of junk, but still have lots to do. i've tried freecycle, but no one wants to drive 30 miles from town for my stuff
once every couple months they bring a trailer from goodwill and park it in the storage units parking lot for a day. but they usually only give a days warning.
i just saw the sign go up yesterday that the goodwill trailer is going to be here for a WHOLE WEEK!
i just might finish my decluttering! :

i'm diving in, wish me luck!

I took 2 FULL van loads to the trailer yesterday! :
about 70% of it was toys. (which we have WAY too much of!)
the rest was clothes.
being in a small town, and people knowing that i have a "giant" family (thier words, lol) i often get bags of clothes dropped off to me or left on my porch, which i sincerely appreciate, but often use very few of due to size. so it builds up fast.
i was SO PROUD Of my DH yesterday!
i finally counted and found that the man has 78 shirts, and 33 pairs of jeans.
when he finally realized how crazy he was with keeping clothes forever (hasnt worn some in years, and he takes up 80% of the family closet)
he cut it down to about a third of what was there!

still more to do, cant WAIT to take pics of my clean, non-cluttered house!

That's so awesome! Our biggest problem here is that there is nowhere to donate things (we're a 5 hour train ride to the closest city - no roads). I feel bad taking things to the dump but there's only so much I can sell at a yard sale.

That's awesome! Way to go!

We have clothing drop boxes here, but no place to drop off toys and other things like that.
The nearest Goodwill is about 20 mins away, so it's not too far, but I really have to go out of my way to get there, so ... yeah. I still have lots of clutter.
