Jennifer and Jacqueline- Im learning that by small steps you can get things done. Doing a little is better than not doing anything.

Im going to post my to do list from now until Sunday. I haven't been very good at getting things done but hopefully I get this stuff done. If not Im still going on my trip and having a lot of fun, no guilt about not getting things done. Im stressing out to much and Ive just decided to let whatever happens happen.

Thursday
- Car seat bag-
- Passport Holder (Im terrible at losing my boarding pass and having to have it reprinted at the gate so Im hoping someplace to put it and the passports in will help me from losing anything)
- Passport covers
- finish doll clothes (it actually turned out really cute but a lot smaller than I wanted) About 1/2 done, Im almost done with the shirt then I have to make the pants
- If time permits: 6 reusable bags (three done, three to go. All are cut up and ready to be sewn)
- 3 weeks of FHE lessons
- list of websites I visit (they are only saved on our desktop and obviously I can't take that with me, wouldn't fit in my luggage )
- Print out calanders for October, November, December and January
- Print out reservations (did it once and it got colored on)
- put all trip stuff in my notebook so it doesn't get ruined (again)

Friday
Sew
-Skirt for DD2-pattern made
- Skirt for me- pattern made

- 2 aprons- One done one to go
- crayon wallet

Do
- 3 FHE lessons
- information card for DD1 to carry on her (in case she gets separated from me)
- phone number list (in laws house phone and cell phones, SILs cell phone)
- Packing list

Saturday
I just remembered this morning we have meetings all morning at church that I need to be at and then I have some personal stuff to deal with after.
Sew
- Nursing top
- my purple dress
Plan
- 3 FHE lessons
- Book list of books to read next year so I can look for them while over in the states-almost done
- List of things to put in carry on
- Make cake for DD2s party next day
- Make snacks for plane

Sunday
DD2s first birthday party (she doesn't turn one until November but we are having it now since DH will miss her birthday)
Sew-
- Red dress
Plan
- 3 FHE lessons
- finish off trip notebook
- pack my luggage
- pack the girls luggage
- pack all carry ons

- load the car

If time permits:
- Felt animals
- Halloween keychain
-start blog
-post pictures of everything I made this week

11. Clean playroom up again.
12. Scoop litterboxes. DONE

Yeah, I've always hated cleaning the oven, too! But knowing I can use the oven cleaning cycle and no harsh chemicals makes it a lot easier and less daunting. :-)

I'm tossing some rice into the rice cooker and starting supper soon...

Cleaning the bathroom is better than doing laundry for me. I don't really mind it. Maybe its because I dislike a dirty bathroom so much I don't mind making it clean again.

I didn't get as much done as I wanted to today. I did get most the bags packed. Just have a few odds and ends to throw in.

Actually, cleaning the bathrooms are my favorite household chores too. But I hate doing them both on the same day because I like them to really look clean and with a 4 & 5 year old, they don't stay nice looking for long.

Okay, I am gonna jump in here. Hopefully you ladies can help me get a little more motivated. Between the teething toddler and the homeschoolers, I don't get as much cleaning done as I'd like. We're not hugely out of control or anything, but I've got a few trouble spots that keep getting overlooked, and I tend to get behind on stuff like laundry and mopping, etc.

So.... wish me luck! I'm off to do the dishes...

SeekingSerenity,

Okay, first session:
1) Toss load of laundry in washer.
2) Put away clothing in bedroom/bring bags of clothing items to donate to spare room for Saturday. (This may take a couple sessions. I'm just going to chip away at it. I need to try a few things on to see if I can still wear them with my Bella Band before packing them away.)

I think today I'm going to rotate my 15 minute sessions between cleaning/decluttering and administrative tasks.

Hope the dishes got done, Seeking!! They never end, do they??

I am down to the easy stuff.
I've got a babysitter coming at 2:00 for 3 hours and she's going to take the kids down to the playroom and they can pick up a bit while they are there.

Why do I allow family drama to upset me and slow me down?

Now I am going to fold a load of towels and transfer the first load to the dryer. I will toss another load in the washer. And I will put away the dishes in the strainer.

Poetry.
Not getting much done today but still trying. I'm sick now and my brain's not functioning too well.
I need to:

Get shopping list made for tomorrow's city trip
Do one load of laundry
Prep tomorrow's take-along lunch (bunch of intolerances and allergies here)

Welcome Serenity! Good luck catching up. Mine are younger and I still can't seem to catch up.
Poetry, family tends to derail my efforts as well
Jacquline- I hope you feel better soon.

This morning Ive finished DD1's apron (it looks so cute), a skirt for her and a skirt for me. I still have to put the elastic in DD2's skirt and sew the hem then its onto errands. I need to pick up a few last minute items I forgot about the trip. Ekks! DH just reminded me about the fact I leave in less than 48 hours.

Yeah, thinking in terms of 15 minutes makes tasks seem much less daunting.

Okimom, good luck on finishing your preparations for your trip.

I am going to spend my first session looking at flyers and websites and preparing my shopping lists/coupons. This may take a couple sessions. It takes me a while to sort through my coupons. I have them organized by date/category, but I think organizing them alphabetically makes much more sense, either completely alphabetically or alphabetically by category. But that's a project for another day. LOL.

No, they don't. As a matter of fact, I got them done, but now I need to go do them again TODAY. And of course, I did them twice yesterday!!!

4 washing machines... hmmm... THAT would rock.

I just got a brand-new dryer. My other one would have to run through 3 complete 80-minute cycles before anything got dry, and then it started doing this thing where it shut itself off every 10 minutes. It took me three days to dry one load... so, since it was 14 years old and we've replaced the heating element twice already, it was time to and buy a new one. Now everything dries in one cycle... sweeeeeeeet...

Reminds me... I have to go finish the diapers, currently awaiting their final rinse.

Right now I am going to log off and:
1. Rinse diapers
2. Load dishwasher
3. Put baby down for nap
4. Fold clothes

Of course, this will take more than 15 minutes, but with kids, I'm sure it'll be broken down into smaller segments!!

My 15 minutes turned into 2 hours! Got a lot done though.
Cleaned up from craft project done over the last 2 days.
Vac'ed family room after picking up all toys.
Cleared out a cupboard full of a mix of junk, spare school supplies and broken toys.
Found containers for toys used in family room and put them in newly cleaned out cupboard.
Kitchen counters cleared and wiped down.
More items added to yardsale table.
Put the Halloween decorations on to the Halloween Tree.

I still have a TON to do! We just finished DD2's party. Shes 11 months old but DH won't be there for her birthday so we had her birthday party today (just the four of us). She suprised us by walking across the room to me when I was cooking. Im so happy DH got to see her take her first steps (he was away training when DD1 took her first steps).

Next up, finishing up the crayon roll then working on the tops.
