yes, flyladying is quite amazing, when i follow it.

i am astonished at my energy level and how much the weekly clean motivated me to do more in the house! i've cleared, almost entirely, shelves on one side of the studio, relocated telephone and such a nook in the kitchen, and made use of the shelves in the living room, to finally lay out our books and things nicely. next up, *under* the desk. i need to look at what needs to be stored + accessed easily once the studio is no longer, and we've got the children in this room instead. very exciting!

and we've set a date for getting the floors done, i have 1 1/2 months to prepare before i leave on our winter visit. i hope to have things well decluttered, before then, so the girls can come home + move into their room.

I have been so out of it. I haven't been able to do anything! Blerf.... I feel nauseated but haven't gotten sick. Tired but haven't gotten the fever or body aches that my kids got. As I put on my FB status, I am tired of this "half-sick" stuff. I need to either get all the way sick or all the way better.

DH actually got on my case for things being cluttered last night. Oh yeah, like I haven't had 3 sick kids and felt like crud myself for over a week now. And the whole time he's been sitting there in his room, on his computer, doing nothing to help... ah, well, that's another rant.

So I've done a bit today, although not as much as I'd like.

About to start another 15 minute marathon... on the agenda....

1 - load dishwasher
2 - transfer clothes to dryer, start new load of laundry
3 - wipe kitchen counters down
4 - put dinner in oven
5 - clean up rice where Lil'Man dumped it on the living room carpet

Before tonight is done....

6 - dry all laundry, put away (sheets and towels, should be quick)
7 - homework checkpoint
8 - run to store for milk (wow, I SO don't wanna do that)
9 - scrub toilets

I feel like I could just collapse and sleep for a week. Man, I hate that.

On a happy note... The kids are feeling much better!!!

I'm in today.

So far I've tackled the living room, cleaned up the toys, tossed out 4 bins of recycle & a bag of trash, cleaned off my desk almost entirely {just need to find a place to put my cookbook collection}, and picked up laundry.

I've got to go finish putting away the clean laundry, picking up dirty, post the extra Christmas tree on craigslist, and finish boxing up items for our upcoming yard sale.

next-
start something for dinner.
put away dishes in sink.
fold and put away baby's laundry and mine.
swish and swipe in bathroom I'm pretty sure things will start growing in there soon

Welcome frugalmama and CKinAK!

SeekingSerenity, with three kids recently sick and not feeling so great yourself, go easy on yourself. You'll get caught up and this thread is here to cheer you on!

Pumpkin Pie, look at you go girl!!!!!!!!

artparent, how productive you've been. I would absolutely love to have some of your energy! I'm nearly 7 months pregnant and really miss my energy. I know other pregnant women are able to get their acts together and I'm trying to stay afloat.

I got my tasks done today except for the Control Journal, which is what I wanted to get done the most. I started it, but soon realized that I need more page protectors and possibly a bigger binder. Maybe not, though. I seem to remember having an old FACE (Financial Awareness Continually Empowers) Journal. That may have some extra sleeves and can hold financial records. Now I just have to find it. LOL!

Anyhow, I'm determined to do a little more with it tonight and am going to make some hot apple cider to make the process more bearable.

You ladies are all doing awesome!!!! You provide great inspiration.

just tossed another two bins of recycle - can is now full outside and I'm glad pickup is in the morning.

Finished boxing up the yard sale stuff and moving it to out of the way spot for now.

Dirty laundry all picked up & ready to be sorted into the washer.

Now I'm off to go tackle the table - it might take longer than 15 minutes I think.

I have got THE CRUD that's been going around here, have barely been sleeping due to all the coughing and phlegm...I'm exhausted. But life doesn't stop when Mom is sick, right? So I'm making a list here to keep myself accountable so that I don't sit down on the couch and pass out.

We have several places to be today: therapist, one kid to psychology class, one kid to calculus class, two tae kwon do classes. The calculus class isn't over until 9:45 tonight, I plan on picking her up already wearing my pajamas! In between those here's what I need to do:

STARTED--Make rajma masala for dinner in the morning so I don't get too tired to fix it in the afternoon

STARTED--2 loads of laundry

Go to craft store to buy stuff for co-op class

Wash the miscellaneous dishes cluttering the kitchen counter

15 minutes cleaning in play room and master bath

Pick up prescription and look for face paint

DONE--Plan tomorrow's co-op class

Pack up stuff for co-op

DONE--Make mock egg salad

Bake bread

Okay, I think that's about all I can commit myself to. Oh, and the most important, drink more coffee!!!

Homeschooling mom to four kids, ages 18, 18, 10, and 6.

thanks! i get bursts like this now and then, definitely fueled by this kind of thread and empowered by getting more done in the first place!

good work, everyone

okay, my day is more unruly today.

1. dishes
2. room rescues (again, seriously!!)
3. put away fabric + new sheets
4. divide + pot up ferns
5. sort boxes of technology.
6. do a load of laundry through

then, i'll pick one or two:
sort laundry according to colour
sort second basket under the sink
find a home for duster, brush + dustpan
find a home for printing paper + envelopes
reorganise part of a closet.

if there is time,
7 we need to go get pumpkins to carve + costume supplies (i could do this on saturday after soccer)
8 make yogurt
9 sew the fabric + dowels to hang under the sink, above the baskets.

what's for dinner tonight?

my neighbour cleaned up all the extra garden rubbish we collectively were building up and took it to the dump he even swept. brilliant man!

okay, i feel tired already and long to drink tea + knit. tomorrow we have a big day out, violin lessons + field trip to the fire brigade museum, and i'm becoming a terrible homebody.

My goals for today are scaled back thanks to a gallbladder attack in the middle of the night.

Clear off dining room table

Try to put away the clean laundry as tolerated

Sort living room toy box and try to get everything into one tote

Clean out fridge & eat leftovers tonight

Thank you for the birthday love! And I'm simply copying someone else wise from here on the self-care. It keeps me saner and I love seeing things go to bold on my list.

As always, I have a neverending list of things to do! I'll pick a few to accomplish tonight:

1) Secretly finish furoshiki bags for DD's halloween fairy present
2) pick up living room
3) clean kitchen
4) laundry
5) prepare project options for tomorrow's homeschooling
6) empty/refill gym bag with fresh clothes

This was my last list....

1 - load dishwasher DONE
2 - transfer clothes to dryer, start new load of laundry DONE
3 - wipe kitchen counters down DONE
4 - put dinner in oven DONE
5 - clean up rice where Lil'Man dumped it on the living room carpet DONE

Before last night was done....

6 - dry all laundry, put away (sheets and towels, should be quick) DONE
7 - homework checkpoint DONE
8 - run to store for milk (wow, I SO don't wanna do that) DONE
9 - scrub toilets DONE

WOW! I actually finished both, plus I got the back bath tub organized (where all the bath toys are) and cleaned, the front tub scrubbed, the cat's overnight box cleaned (they have to stay caged up at night or every plant I have would be upside down in the morning) and all the beds changed.

Thanks to THIS THREAD!!! Because I did all of this in 15-minute bursts.

Tomorrow I have to...

1 - finish the tail on DS's costume
2 - finish painting Lil' Man's treat bag
3 - carve a couple of pumpkins (there's 4, but we'll save two for Saturday)
4 - diaper wash day
5 - fold today's laundry
6 - spot-mop kitchen
7 - sort out back closet

I did tomorrow's homework tonight, so I'm a day up on that, at least.
