Congratulations!!!!

Well I haven't been doing much lately. Life seems to have gotten in the way. Over the last few days I have gotten rid of some random items as I see them. I didn't keep track but my guess would be at least 20 so that is what I am adding to my total. We are out of town next weekend, but I have big plans for the weekend of the 15th.

20+683 = 703/2010

thanks gals, I almost forgot to count this stuff until I saw the thread!

2 Oversized very dirty stuffed animals - trash!
1 broken LARGE plastic noisy helicopter - trash!
6 misc styrofoam (WHY were we keeping this??) - trash!
a few other dribs and drabs - trash x 5

and I organized the halloween decorations and found most of the ones that I couldn't find last year that were nicely packed away in a labelled box, buried under, you guessed it, clutter! and organized the attic storage space so we can find everything.

I sorted through my maternity clothes this morning (totally ready for baby and running out of things to do...!). Took out everything I haven't worn at all during this pregnancy and ended up with 30 items; took summer items to a friend due in July and the rest is in the "goodwill area" waiting to be joined by the other 58 items needed to finish this challenge!!

WTG Punchy! I am trying my best to finish this challenge before the baby arrives and plan to try for another 2010 when I get back into the swing of things after baby.

I am aiming to reach 750 items gone by the end of May, and 1005 by the end of June.

Wonder if I can do it?

I DID IT!!! I DID IT!!!!!!

I went into my closet this afternoon to sort my non-maternity stuff into "will be able to wear after baby", "might be able to wear", and "yeah right". I started tossing stuff I haven't worn in years/never fit right/someone gave me but I never wore into a pile by the closet door. Before long, I couldn't get out of my closet because of the HUGE pile! I counted the items as I bagged them for goodwill and I met my goal and then some!
I have ridded my home of 2010 pieces of CLUTTER, TRASH, and STUFF in the last 2 months... and we don't miss a thing! I'm SO pleased with how well it went, I plan to start again and do another 2010 after things settle down after this little guy gets here... and I've already got 8 items toward my second goal!

Woot!! Thanks for the ideas/support/encouragement, ladies!

Is it too late to start this? I don't know if I'll complete it, but attempting to would be fun, right?

You can count anything..

Some people count a bag of stuff as one thing, and some people count each thing individually.

It doesn't really matter as either way you are achieving the objective of decluttering.

I am off to a slow start here but so far....

4 diapers that I sold online
3 random toys that were NEVER played with
3 kitchen jars (the kind you put like... flour and stuff in)

I am hoping this gets a bit easier as I get into it! I also have a bunch of stuff listed online so hopefully I can get some of that sold...
