Anyone up for this challenge this year?

I think there was a 2009 in 2009 thread last year and I haven't seen at 2010 yet so I thought I would throw it out there. I am Compacting this year so there shouldn't be much coming into the house. Now I just need to get a bunch of stuff out

eeek! I had to go back 6 pages to find my last update, I have been naughty indeed. But I am back now

We will hopefully be moving house soon so that has given me a little push to resume my (much needed) decluttering...

1 exciting envelope full of crafty goodies - posted to a friend
1 bag of papers - recycled
15 items of clothing - charity shop
1 ornament-thingy - charity shop
2 purses - charity shop
1 bag of misc. rubbish - bin
1 small rucksack - charity shop
1 handbag - charity shop

and I am about to do another book release/purge, any minute now

So to catch up... 1339+23=1362/2010

My house is in major need of decluttering. I just started purging last week, I'm at 122 items (+/- 5) and another bag of baby clothes ready to go. Would old toiletries count as long as I'm not replacing them? Such as a 10 year old face mask, or a hair styling stuff I'd never use.

I count everything as one item except for paper. Paper is 10 sheets count as 1 for me. Do what works for you!

Jumping in here - I did 2009 in 2009 and now I am working on 2010 in 2010.

1738/2010 so far

Watching "Hoarding Buried Alive" on TLC while I clean out my bedroom is a great motivator! I just tossed a bunch of old financial records from a long, long time ago. It feels so good.

I attacked the homeschool shelf. Attack might be a strong term. I want to do more there, but it was a starting point. I really want to get rid of stuff. I am so overwhelmed with everything we have!

6 workbooks, partially used, to the trash
37 various homeschool books, to give away
