I'll try this and see if it works for me!

Here is my before lunchtime list: (totally copying you )

* switch laundry
* appointment downtown
* return library books
* reboot laundry

A little list since my appointment takes a big chunk out of my morning and I've done most of my morning stuff already!

I am feeling rather cranky today and am not particularly motivated to get anything done. Maybe I will change the way I do my list, too. I am going to only list the items that I DO accomplish....(in order to focus on the positive and not see the list of "undone" tasks).

It is 8:25 am on Monday morning and I have:
~ brushed my teeth and gotten dressed;
~ swept the powder room since the kitty made a mess with her litter;
~ walked my DD to school (1/2 mile each way);
~ started the dishwasher;
~ ate breakfast and rinsed my bowl and spoon (wouldn't have fit in the d/w or I would have "delayed" the start time);
~ fed the cat;
~ gathered the trash and recycling (DH physically took it out) and then discovered an item I missed, so I took that out;

I'm late coming back, but lunch is done. I got almost all of my list done AND I ran errands downtown too The only things I didn't get too were my kitchen cleaning and I only got half of my school time done.

*Make the bed
*Shower, swish, and swipe
*Get dressed and ready for day and get boys ready too, including hair
*Eat breakfast
*Drink five glasses of water
*Put clean dishes away
*Check calendar and update budget
*Start a load of laundry
*Switch laundry and start another load
*Put away a load of laundry
*Sort through inboxes
*15 minutes tidying upstairs

Now my before supper list... top two things are carryovers from this morning:
*30 minutes of school work
*45 minutes of cleaning/organizing the kitchen
*Drink 5 glasses of water
*Make supper
*Switch laundry
*Wash a load of dishes
*Put away a load of laundry
*1 hour of schoolwork
*1 hour of TAPS

It is 10:10 am here and I:

~ crawled back in bed to be warm and dry (It is a chilly and DREARY day. Blah...)
~ pet the kitty, who is snuggled up next to me snoozing (such a sweet baby)
~ typed up all the events coming up for our family in March and April (winter to spring thread)
~ spoke with our Girl Scout Troop Leader, who is a dear friend, and planned our camping weekend, which is Fri - Sun this week. It is primarily a "unit" event, so our planning just involves our troop/our two daughters/us.

This week I'm getting back to my regular cleaning schedule, which is:

Monday: vacuum & clean any spots on carpet
Tuesday: dust
Wednesday: bathrooms (sinks, mirrors, counters, toilets, trash)
Thursday: vacuum & clean out fridge
Friday: mop
Saturday: any major decluttering project, as needed
Sunday: bathtub & shower

I also usually do at least one small decluttering project every day. Today I cleaned out the little kids' shoes & rearranged their room a little. I like it a lot in there now -- much easier for them to get to all of their things.

12:30 pm and I:

~ spoke with a friend about the slumber party and ice skating and other assorted topics (calendar items and logistics along with a few more delicate topics) - almost done with RSVPs and DD is going to be thrilled!
~ updated and printed itinerary for slumber party (with the intention of having DD write up an ingredient list when she gets home from school while I handle the task list and for DH to add in his input)
~ cooked myself a quesadilla and smothered it with the rest of a fresh avocado from our CSA and I peeled an "orange" (some variety of orange-colored citrus, but I doubt it was an actual ORANGE) from the CSA and ate the fruit and fed the garbage disposal the peel to freshen it up (smells great in kitchen now)
~ rinsed and stacked my dishes
~ spoke with DH about grocery needs (he was at the health food store on his lunch break)
~ cleaned the litter box
~ answered various emails and deleted them as I completed the action required; also deleted unneeded emails right away (unsubscribed from one)

I'd say this method is working pretty well for me today considering my mood and the weather (probably closely related!).

3:30 pm here and I:

~ emailed back and forth half a dozen times with my friend working out a revision to our earlier plan for Friday
~ walked to school to pick up DD; chatted with a friend while waiting
~ walked home with DD while we chatted about our days (one of my favorite times of the day)
~ fed us both snacks (warmed cheese bread with butter; green smoothies)
~ helped DD with math homework
~ got DD started on writing two lists for her slumber party (food and non-food) that we need to gather (We'll make the purchase list after we gather items over the next few days.)
~ gave DD recipe for homemade Ranch for above food list
~ finalized plans for Friday
~ worked on my own lists

Yes I agree this thread really helped me out last week so I'm going to jump onboard again as well. I'm breaking my week up as I have class Wed & Thurs. Between now and Tuesday afternoon I am going to:

~get caught up on my assignments and will finally be all caught up with school! (I had a mishaps two weeks ago that set me behind and it's been very challenging trying to catch up!)
~finish baking
~tackle the laundry
~possible go deal with some legal stuff (depending on how the assignments go)

Everyday I will:
~phone a friend
~hike, bike ride, or swim

*30 minutes of schoolwork
*Drink two glasses of water
*Wash supper dishes
*Quick tidy clothes
*Shine sink
*Check calendar and budget
*Lay out clothes for everyone for tomorrow
*Brush teeth

I didn't get any of the rest of my schoolwork done (1 hour) and only got half of my 1 hour of housework done. All things considered though I think it was a successful day

Tomorrow I am going to do as much of my morning routine as I can before I leave, but I have an appointment a the hospital an hour away so I won't get the big things done...

*Make the bed
*Shower, swish, and swipe
*Get dressed and ready for day and get boys ready too, including hair
*Eat breakfast
*Drink five glasses of water
*Put clean dishes away
*Check calendar and update budget
*Start a load of laundry
*Put away a load of laundry
*Sort through inboxes
*15 minutes tidying upstairs
*45 minutes of cleaning/organizing the kitchen

I hope to get all of those done, but the last one may not happen. We'll see.

OK yesterday was pretty unproductive. It was a not great headspace day for me and things kept happening to take me away from my work.

But today is a new day and I can make it through this day (I hope!).

My morning list (which I should get started on because we leave for playgroup in an hour... anything left over I will move to a later list):

*Make the bed
*Shower, swish, and swipe
*Get dressed and ready for day and get boys ready too, including hair
*Eat breakfast
*Drink five glasses of water
*Put clean dishes away
*Check calendar and update budget
*Start a load of laundry
*Switch laundry and start another load
*Put away a load of laundry
*Sort through inboxes
*One hour of school work
*15 minutes tidying upstairs
*45 minutes of cleaning/organizing the kitchen

Yesterday was the busy and out of the house nearly the entire time from 7:22 am until 7:50 pm (just a few brief stops at home between activities). I was dressed nicely and had good energy all day, so it was a good day! Just didn't accomplish much around the house. I did get our weekly finances done, though, and I got DD started on her science fair presentation board.

Man, two days in a row of not checking in. I think on days when I will be gone most of the day I need to switch back to my other type of list where I just do small lists. Today I should be home all day except for taking walks or playing outside with the kids.

Before lunch (some of it I've already started/finished):
*Make the bed
*Shower, swish, and swipe
*Get dressed and ready for day and get boys ready too, including hair
*Eat breakfast
*Drink five glasses of water
*Put clean dishes away
*Check calendar and update budget
*Start a load of laundry
*Switch laundry and start another load
*Put away a load of laundry
*Sort through inboxes
*One hour of school work
*15 minutes tidying upstairs
*45 minutes of cleaning/organizing
*Get envelope ready to mail to government

ok, I so need to jump on this band wagon!!!

I need to declutter my middle sons room. I've been putting it off for months because it's just so full of STUFF!!! I guess if I'm overwhelmed with decluttering it, he must be overwhelmed playing in there!

So, I'm thinking that if I post here that I'll work for 1 hr today decluttering and organizing his room, I'll feel accountable.

bbl to update.

DD & I are leaving for a camping trip with Girl Scouts in a few hours and I'm not ready!

DD has her personal belongings packed and ready to go. She's at school, so that is a good thing!

I have all the other STUFF piled up in my bedroom and I'm on the computer sitting on the floor in my bedroom. DH was helping me troubleshoot my iPhone playlist and syncing issues and teaching me new ways to access things. He is working from home today and is a charming distraction....

So, I need to:

~ Find suitable bags/backpacks/etc to pack this stuff in.
~ Check off items on the main camping list as I pack the items.
~ Figure out any "other" items we want/need that are not on that master list from Girl Scouts.
~ Locate those "other" items and pack them.
~ Shower and dress for camping. (I'm currently dressed far too nicely! )
~ Pick up DD from school with a snack in hand for her to eat as we walk home. (Not typical and shall be entertaining.)
~ Encourage DD to shower and dress for camping QUICKLY.
~ Load up my friend's car when she and her DD arrive.

First step ---> Close the laptop.

Yay! It's Saturday.

Today I may:
Go to a hair appt.
Go to the library.
Visit a friend.
Visit our new piano school.
Go to the movies.

I have already:
