I know there's a "clean clear spaces" thread but that one is massive and I'm envisioning a slightly different purpose for this thread...I just really want to share some pictures of my new apartment, finally all set up nice after moving cross-country almost two months ago. If you have pictures of your home that you are proud of, post them here too!

I got rid of probably two-thirds of our stuff to move. Of course, I did have to buy a few things (mainly furniture) when we got here but we got almost all of it cheap and used. I'm not an interior decorator so please don't laugh. I'm just proud at how organized it all is. You even get to see pictures of my closets.

Looks great! You are very organized. I like your going out/in center - I need something set up like that.

Enjoy your new place!

Wow! So clean and clutter-free! Inspirational. It looks like it would be easy to keep clean because everything has a place.

I really like your set-up at the door; I need something like that.

Oh man, don't I know it. I was shocked at the amount of stuff we managed to accumulate after just 3 years in a 1500 square foot house. The clutter creep is awful.

Jealous of your huge closets! Very nice.

I can post pictures later, but it is still a work in progress. I am painting the bathroom today (this is my break between coats) to get rid of green sponge painting.

It's modeled after the bed from Ikea, but we got the plans from www.knock-offwood.com (It's the "Fort Bed").

Thanks that table and chairs were free and the table top was painted green. I refinished it.

I am not sure why the pics are all blurry but...

I got it at costco.com. It was on sale for only 99$ and is very sturdy. I am pleased with it. It was a Christmas gift for the 2 little ones. I looked and I can't find it at Costo anymore but I am sure if you search wood kitchen set you can find it. I found it at several places (non I can remember the name of) but Costo had it the cheapest.

Sorry I didn't get back to this thread forever.

mommaof3boz - I believe rope lights do contain trace amounts of lead. Since my kid doesn't chew on them (he's 3) I'm not going to worry about it too much. Thanks though!

Katie, your house is great too! I love the bedroom, it looks so spacious. And your sparse glass cabinets. Your bathroom also looks really fresh LOL I'm not sure what gives it that look but I just think it looks fresh.

I love your house!

I want to paint my old wood floors white but I can't talk DH into it. He's one of those "you never paint wood" guys. But the floors are old and in pretty bad shape.... he might go for it.

OP- Very nicely organized! We live in a 900 sq foot 3 bedroom house so I know how challenging it can be to keep that little space organized.

We put our house up for sale in July so we did a major declutter right before listing. Here are some of the photos I took then - some of the pics are a little dark but you get the picture. I still have trouble keeping DDs room organized but it is a constant work in progress as the budget allows.

limette - I would love to buy an older house to renovate - it is a life long dream. looks great!

I love looking at people's houses, always stirs up some great new ideas
