Oh man!  3 days until we move!!  Today has to be a very, very, very productive day!

My first goal is to get 3 boxes packed... doesn't matter what they are, I just need stuff in boxes! DONE

Now I need to clean out kitchen cabinets and pack bakeware and pans. DONE

Next up is dishes and the dining room floor.

Hi ladies, newbie here.  On another site I was asked to pick a word for this year and it is SIMPLIFY.

I chose this word to help me declutter my home and I still have a long ways to go but will keep

myself accountable now that I have found this site.

Today I gave our Little Tikes kitchen set to my Granddaughter Emma, it belonged to her Momma and went thru 4 kids

and is still in decent shape.  Have the two chairs too!!!  So wish me luck on going thru the barbies next!!!
Love this site and hope to get lots accomplished!!!  Have a great day ladies!!!

Yahoo time to simplify!!!!

Alrighty!

I was at a birth all day Monday and Tuesday and didn't do much yesterday when I was here, so I have a lot to do around the house today.

I'm going to start with my first ten minutes.... now.

1st 10 minutes

Did a load of dishes

Started in on decluttering the kitchen

2nd 10 minutes

Scrubbed down stovetop

Put clean dishes away

Washed another load of dishes

3rd 10 minutes

Finished the dishes

Worked on straightening up the dining room

Flipped the laundry

Ok, I spent about forty minutes on the phone with our local Hypnobirthing instructor and ate lunch. Now I'm going to get back to work. Am heading off to set the timer for ten minutes now...

4th 10 minutes

Straightened up and reorganized our homeschool bookshelves

Straightened one of the dining room cabinets

30 minutes this time

Folded three loads of laundry

Started another load

Changed 3yo ds out of peed in clothes (yay, potty learning!)

At the suggestion of another MDCer, I'm joining this thread to help me get motivated.

10 minutes:

Made bed

Folded one load of laundry

Got interrupted by baby waking up and wanting to nurse

Mama to two, and second-time surrogate. Expecting May 2015.

Welcome, KSDoulaMama & Scrappinmomma! I hope this thread helps you to be productive.

Good job, phatui5 & clutterwarrior!

*bejeweled*, I'm so glad our thread is back!

Okimom, happy celebrating!

Speaking of being productive, I've got to get my butt in gear! LOL! The only thing I've done all day is make the bed. I'm about to start a load of wash and to heat the laundry in the dryer up to get the wrinkles out so that I can fold/put away/hang them. I'm off to set the timer!

I've only a little over a week before my DSD arrives to live with us. I copied and pasted the major cleaning list from earlier in the thread. My mantra is "I think I can. I think I can."

In the near future I have to:

finish my bedroom closet
organize and declutter bottom drawer of dresser
organize/declutter the bathroom closet
organize/declutter under the bathroom sink
organize/declutter under the kitchen sink
move all cleaners/chemicals to the utility room
organize/declutter the large cabinet/drawers in the kitchen
organize/declutter the storage chest in the utility room
organize/declutter the desk
organize/declutter the stand next to the desk
Go through old binders and journals
move the small bookshelf with the classics to the utility room
move the trunk to the living room

Sort through a couple boxes of papers (I've been saving and need to return each of my sister's poems, old report cards, letters, etc. to them. I'm not quite sure how I ended up with their childhood memories.)
work on my home management binder
complete ppw
make phone calls
sort through babe's clothes and pack away those that are too small.

Plus I need to do my daily tasks:

fold/put away 2 loads of laundry

Transfer 1 load of laundry to the dryer

Make supper
soak a load of diapers and wash them this evening in the morning
put away/wash supper dishes
scoop the litter box
clean the dish strainer
Fill glass jars I've been saving with beans/grains/nuts/seeds/etc.

Ok, I can't shake this stupid cold the kids gave me!! They are perfectly fine again and I can barely get myself moving!

Yesterday was DH's birthday and I feel bad but I didn't do anything for him. He totally understood but I feel bad about it. Tomorrow is DD2's birthday and I need to make her a cake today so she has something to eat tomorrow. I'm not going with the original cake I was going to do (its to complicated and I don't think I can do it right now) so I need to find something simpler. I also need to work on the Christmas dresses this weekend and finish DH's birthday present. The house needs cleaning and I have a 4 hour church event tomorrow (DH is taking the girls out for some Daddy and daughters time, trust me DD2 won't even realize I'm gone lol.gif Daddy is a whole lot more fun than Mommy).

However, all I want to do is go to sleep and sleep all day. Maybe breakfast will wake me up.

So far today I have:

made beds

changed handtowels and dishcloths

done two loads washing

brought in washing and put away

hung out one load

shopped for food

went for a walk

Going to spend time with DS now, change his diaper, try to nurse him  down for a nap and see if I can tackle something else.

Clutter, November is a super busy month for us. 3 birthdays (all in 1 week), then my In-laws anniversary (celebrating 30 years this year! I wish I was there to celebrate with them) and DH's/mine are within a week of each other. Thanksgiving is the day before DH/mine anniversary. Honestly I'm glad when November is over. I'm actually technically "due" anywhere from 3 days-a week after DD1's birthday in January so we will have another 2 birthdays within a week. Nice thing is other than family birthdays (SILs/BIL/MIL/father) there is nothing after January right now. Well I guess Feb if this baby is born in Feb.

Today has been so busy. I ended up getting up at 4 to make the cake, clean up the living room some and make breakfast. I didn't have what I needed for the icing so while I was at the church event today DH ran to the store for me. Came home, iced the cake (which turned out nice, Ill post a picture when I get a chance), made dinner, ate, had cake, opened presents and now its bedtime. I'm going to do some cleaning after the kids are in bed. I need to clean the hall/playroom since we had one of our bookcases collapse on us and now the books are ALL over the place. Hopefully it doesn't take longer than 30-45 minutes. I'm BEAT. Oh, and I need to do dishes, load the dishwasher, wipe down the counters, load pictures on Facebook (otherwise my SIL will call at like 7am asking where the pictures are) and get everything laid out for church. I'm tired just typing that. Oh well, off to work on it!

Welcome, MonkeyPrincess & althara!

Thanks, *bejeweled*! It was one of those days where I accomplished a good bit but didn't feel like I accomplished much. :-)

Okimom, I can't imagine 3 birthdays in one week! My DSD and I share the same birthday, and last year our birthdays fell on Mother's Day. LOL! She's moving in in less than a week! ... I can't wait to see pics of the cake you made!

So far today I have nursed DS down for a nap, picked the kitchen up a bit, started a load of laundry and read from The Complete Tightwad Gazette. I have to be sure to take notes as I go. I wish everyone a super Saturday with just the right mix of productivity and relaxation!thumb.gif
