yay, I`ll join! I am hoping to move our family bedroom upstairs, into a converted attic/space that needs a little work, and make the not-very-well-used room below it into a family room with a nice toasty woodstove. A good time to declutter.

(plus it is monday morning and I could use the motivation!)

Not sure if I can keep up with this thread, but I'll try because I'd love to get 150 things OUT of my house!

9 pairs of shoes
1 pile of craft things that are falling apart
1 broken toy
1 pile of papers
2 books
2 random shoe boxes thrown into recycling
1 hello kitty make up bag

Does it count if you put things to work in their intended purpose?

1 bed ruffle put back on bed after years being off
2 emergency blankets placed in the car
1 gentle cycle garmet bag placed where I can use it (instead of under the sewing table, what was it doing there?)

129 things to go!

Now, what to do about the pack and plan and stroller? I should be vicious and just kick them out...but what if I run into someone who needs them?

catscharm, yay!  Tee hee!

1)  small Lego toy (was going to be a gift for DS for Christmas, but I have decided to cut back a bit and am returning some of the extra toys)

2)  some plastic bags

57 baby and kids items off to the consignment sale which will be donated if they don't sell.

27 more that will not be donated if they aren't sold, so after this weekend, I'll know my total.

  1. bag of girl's size S/M clothing
  2. bag of boy's size 3-4 clothing
  3. bag of baby size 18m clothing - all went back to my SIL for her kids!
  4. cloth diapering supplies - to SIL
  5. pile of old magazines I was keeping for... what?  I don't know.

OK, about 40 more little toys either in the trash or the goodwill bag.  Then 6 bigger toys hidden and piled until I can drop them off later this week.  Found an owner for the pack'n'play, 2 sheets, and the stroller.  So what is that...50 more things destined to head out?  I need to do my closet later this week, and I'll be closer to my goal!

79 to go!

6. old blinds that were crooked and torn.  Trashed 'em!

7. broken musicbox

8. a bracelet that I've had visions of fixing.  For the past year.

9. expired allergy meds

10. old (as in 4 years old) make-up remover

Looking specifically for what to get ride of, rather than what to keep, is very exciting!  It feels easier to just get ride of stuff.  I'm also keeping a list of things to use before Christmas.  If I don't use them then they will be trashed or given away.  The type of things that I've held onto for years, waiting for that "special" time when I'll use it.  Let it be today!

11. 4 books that I'm passing along to my women's group tonight
