109 - Box of 13 valentine foamy things that I REALLY want to count as 13 and not one because they were all over the place, then DD counted them and determined there weren't enough for her GS troop and freaked out, but we were on the way to swim lessons and couldn't stop to re-count them (which I had done numerous times already).
110 - small scraps of colored posterboard, also to GS leader who requested them.
(Also dropped off a bunch of luggage that I'd been collecing at work for the Luggage Drive for kids in foster care, but I'm not really counting that).
Threw away 22 pairs of underwear this afternoon: I trashed everything with holes, everything that didn't fit, and everything that wasn't comfortable or made me feel less than gorgeous. I just decided that life is too short to wear yucky underpants.
(BTW, has anyone found a good use for old holey underwear? I don't know if it's even good as rags. Any ideas?)

I love reading this thread if only to learn about all the various kinds of clutter that I never knew existed!!! I've never heard of a pin dish!!!
Today has been a bad day, so no decluttering on my end. I did get rid of one broken knitting needle, though.
I went through the bathroom cabinets/drawers yesterday and got rid of a bag of crap, plus boxed some stuff to take to work and give away. I won't count the stuff that hasn't left yet.
Today I went through my spice cabinets amd got rid of all the ancient spices I've been holding onto for...??????
Bathroom crap-25 pieces (at least, but)
Spice cabinets-35 pieces.
This weekend I don't have to wokr so plan some major decluttering, after getting outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather we're supposed to have!

Two baby bathtubs

a bunch of little things from a baby shower we never used (pacifiers, plastic bottles/teething rings. etc)
Took 12 bags of trash to the transfer station
Recycled 3 bags of cans/bottles/cardboard/paper
My mom is a huge hinderance to getting rid of stuff. I had packed a box of stuff to be donated to a woman on Freecycle and left it by the front door. The next morning I noticed that half of the things in it were gone. I asked my mother about it and she said that she was keeping it for a mythical yard sale she was planning this spring. She finally relinquished the items after I told her that the items in question were going to a woman whose family was living in the basement of a church because they couldn't afford to heat their house this winter. She wants to inspect every little thing going out the door to see if she might need it or want it or whatever...and this yard sale she keeps talking about is the same yard sale she says she's going to have every summer and never happens. Grrrrr......
So, sorry for the vent and I'm adding my stuff up as: 43/2011
Wife to James , Mama to Sara and Robbie
398/2013, 2/200, 4/52
ok, down another 76 things, without hardly even trying... :O So I'm at 277/2011 about 14% done!!! I got rid of bathroom things and a bunch of baby toys/books we don't need, want or use. I may start tackling my craft stash this week... if I dare! It is gonna be scary, and I'm a craft hoarder! :P
Mama to and
I'm feeling so defeated. I had a bunch of stuff packed up to go to the thrift store and my friend had told me about a good place that was not picking and choosing only certain items from each box. I had gone by earlier this week to make sure they would take my stuff, I was assured they would. Well, when I went in today, the guy was totally a jerk and I didn't have time for him to pick and choose so I took my stuff and left. Now I have a car full of stuff I don't know what to do with! Do all thrift stores do this now??? It's so annoying! THIS is why it is so hard for me to clutter
I also tried to send off my books to better world books, but the line at the po was like an hour long, so that will have to wait for Monday too.
