I'm expecting in March/April and I've been in nesting overdrive. Since we got back from my parents three weeks ago I've cleaned out all the closets, the pantry, deep cleaned the living room, the bathroom, etc. I need to do some rearranging for baby but my house is for the most part uncluttered! Now what do I do to KEEP it this way? We are 5 (soon to be 6) people living in a small, 2 bedroom house. I'm fine with the size of our house but I have to keep things clean and organized or we're going to be in trouble. Any thoughts? I'd love a list of 5 things to do everyday to keep the house uncluttered or something like that. Thanks! :)
I think you'll have to devote a certain amount of time decluttering each day. Pick a room to focus on either each day or each week and do 15 minutes per day. Also now is a great time to start the one in, one out rule and stick to it.
I LOVE nesting. I had sooo much energy whe I was nesting. Sleep or no sleep it didn't matter. I just worked off and on (mostly on) all day. Wish I could bottle that and use it now. :)
Thanks for the suggestion. Focusing on one room per day makes it sound doable. I really want to keep the house this way!!
