I haven't been on this thread in ages,  we moved house just over a month ago so the focus has been on simply gettng everything in and unpacked lol.  Now it's back to normal though, so I need to revisit this big time!  The house isn't trashed, but it's not as tidy as I like and a lot of 'little things' are slipping thru the cracks and frustrating me :(  SO, here's my list for today :D

* hang laundry out (done!) hehe cheating

* go to the shop for tinned tomatos (making spanish chorizo & silverbeet soup NOM)

*bake savoury bacon, cheese & corn muffins for the kids school lunches

*make soup! (cleaning up after the baking & soup is it's own 15min session :)

*sweep /mop the hall upstairs

*vac my bedroom

*clean ensuite (sweep, mop, toilet, sink & mirror, empty rubbish bin)

*get laundry from the line; fold & put away

My bedroom is feeling like a dumping ground at the moment, so I think after lunch I will have at least one 15minute session in there.I want to try to get things put away and remove what doesn't belong there so it feels cosy & nice.

See you this afternoon to report how well I did!

So far today I have:

*Stripped the bedding off of beds (Monday is my day to wash these)

*Started a load of laundry washing

*Fed the kiddo

*Straightened the master bedroom

Now I'm off to empty the dishwasher, refill it, and get it going...then put away the clothes currently in the dryer to make way for the ones currently washing!!

I don't get around to posting here often, but ever since I stumbled on this thread the concept has stuck in my mind....and it is amazing! Last week after DS fell asleep for his nap, I really wanted to just veg on the couch with my book, but the living room/dining area was messy. I told myself "10 minutes of cleaning - just 10 minutes - then I can read my book." Knowing that I got to stop in 10 minutes made me work efficiently, quickly, and thoroughly. The whole room was cleaned! I read my book, had a natural high, and felt awesome.

This idea is revolutionary.

I wouldn't get much done if it wasn't for this thread combined with my motivated moms planner...I'm not a natural in the housework department so I really need the discipline of lists that I can tick off!  thumb.gif

Well, yesterday after an early start I left the house with my little guy at 10:15am to meet up with a neighbor friend and her little girl to go to the zoo...and we ended up staying there ALL day!! Didn't get home till almost 6pm...so not much more was done on the house!!

Today though I've:

*Fed myself and the kiddo both breakfast and lunch

*Washed and dried three loads of laundry

*Spent a couple hours sorting through papers...bagging up what was trash, shredding what needed shredding, and taking it out to the curb

*Took the rest of the trash out to the curb for pickup as well

*Watch a couple fave shows online (that's my downtime during kiddo's naptime)

Now I need to:

*Get at least one load of dishes gone through the dishwasher

*Get beds made (for at least a few hours)

*Put away ALL the clean laundry

*Go through some stuff in the garage and get what's going to Goodwill tomorrow loaded into the car (noting how much is going so I can add that to my 2011 in 2011 list)

*Continue working on the paper sorting (our office has gotten WAY too backed up with paper stuffs)

*Make homemade pizza for supper

*Chill out with husband and baby this evening!!

I've got today and about half of Thursday to get some power organizing in this week, as tomorrow will be devoted to running errands and Thursday afternoon to getting packed to go to the wedding that my husband is a groomsman in this weekend.

Hoping to get some downtime this weekend before diving back into my belated spring cleaning/purging next week!!

Got the watermelon and cantaloupe cut up, organized the pantry, fridge and freezer, made dinner and cleaned up after. Now I'm going to nurse then take the kids and dog for a walk. After the walk I'll put the kids to bed then finish the rest of the list.

Hey *bejeweled*!

Most of the day I accomplished nothing. I've been trying to make up for it since DH got home. Here's what I've done:

Made lunch

washed lunch dishes and cleaned high chair, table and counter

swept kitchen floor

removed the full trash bag from can and replaced the bag

folded 2 loads of laundry

transferred a load of laundry to the dryer

started a load of diapers

Read to DS

DH made supper

made the bed

Exercised

Put 5 loads of laundry away

That's all, folks! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

ETA: I also organized the bottom 2 shelves of the changing table. :-)
