Hi everyone! I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, OkiMom. clutterwarrior, I hope the party was a smashing success and lots of fun! *bejeweled*, thanks for the post on decluttering. There are some very good things to keep in mind when deciding what we need and use and what we merely hoard.

We picked older DSD up at the airport yesterday and then went to the Boston Aquarium. I wasn't too impressed with the aquarium. Somehow I expected more. And the place was PACKED. I could barely move or breathe. I guess I'm not much for huge crowds, but DSD and DS loved it and had a great time.

Today I skipped Quaker Meeting so that I could have some much needed alone time. bag.gif

So far I:

Wrote one of the 2 pen pal letters I wanted to write

Made the bed

Opened all the windows to let the fresh air in

Started getting myself ready for the day

I'd like to:

Start a load of laundry

Finish getting dressed

Wash the dishes

Sweep the kitchen, bathroom and pantry

Spot mop the kitchen and pantry

Pick up the kitchen and bedroom

Have DH install AC in the bedroom

Go on a walk with family

Fold and put away two loads of laundry, plus one load of diapers

Make something for dinner

Hey Everyone smile.gif Poetry, I know the feeling about not digging crowds. I no longer enjoy them either. I took DD bathing suit shopping yesterday and even that was annoying. All the stuffy air and the kids crying and the crowded dressing room...eyesroll.gif

Today I:
*helped DD with her jewelry sale outside heartbeat.gif
*took a shower and got ready
*DD and DH made me a pbj sandwich for breakfast heartbeat.gif
*made the bed
*took out the trash
*made lunch
*mended my favorite skirt thumb.gif
*cooked dinner
*relaxed a lot and did Sudoku

I hope to:
*study well

Thanks, *bejeweled*. I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't entirely comfortable in crowds.

I got done most of what I aspired to yesterday with a couple exceptions.

I totally forgot we're having DH's cousin and her daughter over at 2 today. DH is shopping with the kids for groceries. I just got out of the shower. I have a load of laundry in the washer. I am about to ready myself and get cleaning.

I need to:

Get dressed & fix my hair and apply makeup

Make the bed

Spot mop the kitchen

Sweep the bathroom

Wash a few dishes

Pick up the kitchen

Help DSD make a cake from scratch

Have DSD pick the living room up and vacuum it

DH will be in charge of the grill

Fold laundry, towels and diapers if time

Transfer a load of laundry to the dryer

Good morning, *bejeweled*! Have fun at your daughter's poetry reading. I love poetry readings! Will  your daughter be reading? If so, what does she plan to read?

Today I:

Made coffee and breakfast

Am in the process of getting myself ready for a doctor's appointment

Nursed DS down for a nap

I need to:

Finish getting ready

Make a list of things to discuss with midwife

Make lunch

Write down important phone numbers for DSD, as she will be babysitting DS while I'm at the appointment (we've never left him with anyone before)

Bake and decorate a cake with DSD

Fold laundry

Get dinner started

Write one pen pal if I have time

Hmm...it really DOES feel like a Monday. After a long weekend away with extended family I feel like I need some more time off to recoup!!

Haven't actually accomplished much yet today...but I need to at least do the following:

*Meal plan for at least the next couple of days

*Grocery shop for at least the next couple of days

*Go to World Market to use my $10 credit that expires today

*Get two loads of laundry washed, dried, and put away

*Empty dishwasher

*Feed dinner to my kiddo...and then to my husband whenever he gets home from a LONG day of work that involves hours of driving to job sites!!

I hope to also:

*Sort through my coupon inserts and toss expired ones (since it's the end of the month/beginning of a new one)

*Meal plan for the next two weeks!!

*Get another load going in the dishwasher

*Vacuum the house

*Finish unpacking the bags from the weekend away

*Hopefully get to watch an episode or two of Glee for some downtime

Married to my computer geek since 11.04.06. Mama to our little dude Bug (born 7.14.09, peanut allergy, asthma) and our rainbow baby girl Sweetpea (born 4.14.13). Forever missing my angel babies--Riley, Paisley, and Waverley!!

Decluttering my life...

Hey Poetry, it was so nice. The class as a whole recited a bunch of grumpy and cute poems about school. It was wonderful! They also showed a slide show of the past year's events. DD was awarded "Most Wonderful Writer". She was sooooo proud. heartbeat.gif

Aww that is lovely about your DD's award B...sounds like a lovely presentation. orngbiggrin.gif

Today I had to take my oldest DD driving so that was hard work as I have to really concentrate, she has to do 120 hours before she can go for her licence. It's nervewracking taking her out driving, I have to keep such a close eye on what she does; as it is we had two close accidents but neither would have been her fault, just stupid people on the roads doing stupid things!  scared.gif

Done:

Made coffee

emptied dishwasher

went to gym

washed towels

hung out clothes

brought in dry washing

to do:

look up recipe

towels in dryer

fold towels

change towels

wash gym gear

clean toilets 1 and 2

tidy desk a bit

hopefully read a bit!

*bejeweled*, congrats on your daughter's award! That's really awesome!

Today I'm getting out of the house with the kids! We're just walking to the library, but at least it's something. If the weather is nice, maybe we'll have a picnic on the lawn later. Of course, there are other things to do cleaning-wise. But I'll be back...

i like the idea of this thread, so im joining in, gonna go clean the kitchen and bathroom if the baby lets me. ready go!

.

.

.

.

ok just finished/baby needed me and realized i didnt post this, i did look at the clock and it was  11:35 whhen i began and 12:09 when i finished so 34 mins!

i cleaned the bathroom, including adding a label to a box of extra toothpastes and stuff, squeegying the walls of the shower because my hubby forgot, found a little basket for out hair brushes and stuff, sorting a bit of laundry that was on the floor, sweeping and wiping. still to do: mop, clean toilet and take the trash out. that will be tomorrow, right before we have our bbq

i cleaned the kitchen from a big mess to wiped off counters, some recycling done, and some dishes, there is still a sink full of dishes to wash, drying dishes to put away, and mopping. Oh and bbq grill rack to wash, thanks hubby!

just finished feeding the baby and put her down for a nap, so i can tackle the rest of the house! will update after!

I work from home so sometimes I have my hands free for a bit and other times I try to take short, productive breaks. Right now I've done about 4 1/2 out of the 8ish hours I should clock at work, and I have four more hours before I pick up DD from daycare.

Today I:

Made a lazy/quick breakfast of granola, frozen blueberries, & kefir

Took DD to daycare

Cleared up all the debris that resulted from my mom watching DD here yesterday!!

Got various shoes, clothes, and toys put away

Made instant coffee with honey- a thick brew!

Sliced mushrooms for dinner

Still need to:

Vacuum!

Make the bed

Fold clean clothes (from last week- got all of mine done & away days ago, but DD's stuff is still sitting around in a basket!)

More dinner prep, then wash dishes from dinner before bedtime

Laundry- perhaps tomorrow?

Helped DSD wash the breakfast dishes (her initiative!)

Folded one load of laundry

Washed a load of towels

I need to:

Open some windows!

Get myself to a presentable state :-)

Pick up the kitchen

Remember that I love my life!!!!!!

If time:

Clear off my dresser and the changing table

Pick up bedroom

Vacuum bedroom
