So far, today:

...got all the kids to school

...prepped the chicken so I could just throw it in the oven when I got home

...went to an appointment

...picked up all the kids from school

...threw dinner in

Sitting down for a little bit, then:

...doing dishes

...finishing up dinner (going easy tonight - annies mac and cheese, a veggie tray and roasted rosemary chicken)

...then dinner clean up

...pack lunches

...homework, bath, bed for kids (yeah, um...no baths tonight!)

...relaxing!

All I did this morning was get all the 3 littles up and off to school, a big 2 hour production!

Stopped at the grocery store for some egg noodles to make chicken noodle soup for dinner from the left over roasted chicken we had last night.

Dealt with a bank issue, that thankfully, ended in my favor!

Came home, made my bed and sat right down! I've been running non-stop for the past two days, and I'm grateful to work at home today.

Gonna start the actual cleaning, now that I'm caught up with all the decluttering/organizing.

...wash the woodwork

...wipe the blinds down (really, these need to be replaced! we rent and they must be 50 years old! once I get some extra cash, I'm hoping the landlord will allow us to replace them.) ***I didn't do them. I don't want to. Maybe another day, but probably not. I'd rather replace them. They are dirty, many are broken and they are very old. Have to talk to the landlord...

...wash the furniture

...sweep and vacuum

...wash the hard floors

I have til 1 o'clock, when I have to leave to pick up my daughter from school. The we'll come home and start the soup!

***Soup simmering, dishes done, floor swept and mopped.

Happy Friday to you, too, bejeweled. smile.gif

I had planned on going to a consignment sale, but its not going to work out today. Maybe Sunday...

So I guess I will just do stuff around the house:

...make chicken stock from those lovely chickens

...do a general clean up

...laundry (in progress)

...sort misc basket items to appropriate closet

...make a few phone calls

...tidy up my bedroom

...make a list of things that needs to be done this weekend

Yesterday, we ran some errands in the morning and went to a rainy, muddy, paintball birthday party in the afternoon.

Today, some of the kids are swapping bedrooms. The boys are just moving the furniture, etc and I am cleaning between them.

My husband is cleaning out the basement.

We also will be running to Target for a few things.

Then, hopefully, some relaxing before the new week begins...

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone! :)

7pm: Yeah, I am overly optimistic...or a poor time manager...or a slow worker...either way, the only thing we got done was the room swapping! eyesroll.gif

Which, really, is a lot (moved three bedrooms!) - just not much to cross off my list!  Got rid of some items on freecycle, wound up picking up a new desk for my middle from freecycle. Washed and put together the bunk beds. Went through the bird toys. Cleaned up my sons room, dropped off my daughter and her friend, picked up dinner. Did like, 8 loads of wash - paintball clothes from party yesterday, some sheets and towels, etc. Still need to do the blankets, fold and put away. My husband is still working to sweep up and spray down the basement. And I'm getting a shower to go to Target for toiletries and lunch items for kids.

Lots to do tomorrow...

Haven't joined this thread in a long while.  Pregnancy is slowing me down.

Scrubbed the kitchen this morning!  I cleaned out the microwave, cleaned out the silverware drawer, scrubbed the stove, cleared away the junk pile -- ahhhhh, so much nicer.

I am going to get some laundry done and it is not too hot, I am gong to rake a garden bed and plant spinach seeds.  I think it has finally cooled off enough to germinate spinach.

To do:

laundry

gardening

change sheets on beds

Later:

Beds stripped, laundry running, and spinach bed is weeded and seeded.  Funny, all I have to do is commit to getting things done and suddenly I am motivated to get them done.  orngbiggrin.gif

Hi everyone! I'm giving myself a light list today.

My huge newborn already needs to break into our stash of 3-6 month baby clothes, mostly because he is so LONG, so I need to wash at least some of them today. Plus, we need to wash diapers for both babes and 1-2 loads of laundry for ourselves, stay caught up on the dishes and generally pick up the kitchen, bedroom and living room, freeze bananas for smoothies, and clean under the kitchen sink so that the leak can be looked at/repaired by maintenance.

We're back from vacation and I'm spending the afternoon cleaning, organizing and getting ready for our pre-move yard sale (which is on October 1st). I've managed to get a lot done this afternoon and I'm going to go set the timer for 15 minutes and do some more organizing now.

4:18 pm- Worked for about half an hour straightening up and picking out things to sell at the yard sale. Now I'm really hungry and I don't know what to make.

CW, I saw your post and was like, "wow! she's ambitious...look at that list to start so late at night!" Then I realized you are in Australia. :)

You are right, and I'm not usually so hurry up and lets get everything done! I feel like there is so much to catch up on from being out of commission for two months, and just want it all done and back to zero so I only have to maintain. Its hard because I'm not as quick with my recovering foot, but I remind myself its getting there...

With that in mind, today's list...

...dishes

...sweep and mop kitchen floor

...vacuum carpets

...dinner planned and prepped

...catch up on some emails

...laundry, laundry, laundry

...get stamps and mail 2 letters

...collect bag for food bank and drop off (closed!)

On my to do list for the week:

...declutter two bins of the kids stuff

...clean the upstairs

...grocery shopping (need to make a list)

With the kids:

...library after school

...feed the ducks at the park

DH list:

...mow the lawn

...hang bird toys

...swap closets

Oh goodness- the house ran away from me this weekend!  Howeve, it finally cooled off so it's time to play catchup...

I've managed so far to grab a shower

Toss laundry in

Make breakfast

Now I am off to

pull out the window AC in the kitchen (I think we are mostly done the 90 degree days)

load the dishwasher

tidy the kitchen

vacuum

make a pot of tea

decide on something for dinner

Also need to- find a striped referee shirt to wear at home as my 2 and 3 year olds are being absolute brutes at each other today.  (ok, this is just fantasy, but it's OHHHH so tempting.)

On top of those things, implement potty learning bootcamp- a reminder for the three year old and an intro for the two year old.

The kids and I have put in about an hour and a half today sorting through stuff and picking out things to sell at our yard sale on the first. I called the Lego Discovery Center and reserved our homeschool tickets for October 26th (going there on our trip across the country) and emailed the rental app for the house we want to OfficeMax for printing.

I'm heading out in about five minutes to take the kids to the park. On the way home, we're going to swing by the library and OfficeMax.

Ugh, I need your energy.

But, since  my list from this morning, I can add on:

Started dinner (mmm.. chicken noodle soup!)

made/cleaned up lunch

ran another load of laundry

grabbed missing stuff to toss in the soup- I was actually OUT of garlic?  How does that happen?!

Contemplated a light fall crop in my garden- still thinking.  Pulled plants that have gone by, prayed for recovery of those that haven't.  They are all yellowing terribly and  I can't figure out why. *sigh*

scrubbed the bathroom

I think I'm done for now.

Not much energy here either today.

Still I did go out twice and got a few things we needed, plus cleaned the bathroom mirrors and did two loads of laundry and hung them all out on the line. Guess I did OK after all?  thumb.gif

Have potatoes peeled and just have to make dinner.

This morning:

cleared clutter from mantel and foyer table

washed all the dishes

clean upstairs bathroom   Gack, it was so dirty!

More to do:

gardening -- transplant more kale, weed and seed beet bed

laundry!  Poor ds is having bedwetting issues again

prep dinner

and if I have the energy...vacuum upstairs

Update:

I think that is the extent of my energy today.  Pregnancy is a long road and I am having a slow day.  Still so hot here, though we hope to see some cooler temps by Thursday.  I am off to get the kids from school.  If I can do that and get dinner made, then I have done what I have to and the rest can wait till tomorrow.  Hoping I can get up a bit early and do the garden work tomorrow.

The small things really do add up. My days are mostly filled with small accomplishments. Sometimes that's just holding and nursing a fussy baby while the chaos spins around me. blush.gif

Dishes done, I should do laundry to finish getting caught up- I made great headway yesterday!

I made soup last night, so lunch leftovers just need to be heated.  I'll dig something out for dinner later.

I need to:

Clear off and reclaim my desk

Grab some sheeting plastic or a tarp to cover the garden stuff I want to keep going tonight-  they are whispering about frost as an outside possibility (we then get another good growing period, so a light cover works wonders)

Go through warmer clothes for the boys and find out what I need to thrift- shop for and what I might have to break down and buy (how do two boys 14 months apart BOTH outgrow 90% of their clothes in 6 months?  Even the little one has outgrown the older ones' clothes from last winter!)

Yesterday I got a LOT of laundry washed and dried and got caught up on the dishes...so that was good!!

This morning already I have:

*Made beds

*Straightened rooms

*Fed the small one and set him lose to play outside on the patio

*Folded and put away all the laundry washed yesterday

*Emptied the dishwasher and put the dishes all away

I hope to:

*Go to the store for extra Sunday papers

*Meal plan and make up a grocery list

*Finish reading a book so it can be returned to the library tomorrow (it's overdue)

*Relax, play with kiddo, watch a couple episodes of something on Netflix during naptime!!

*Fix an easy, relaxed dinner

Yesterday was crazy busy (first night of a home group Bible study led by DH) and today I'm just loving having all the main parts of the house clean. Tomorrow I will jump into more deep cleaning/organizing projects...unless I just happen to get inspired to jump into something today, which I doubt!!

Married to my computer geek since 11.04.06. Mama to our little dude Bug (born 7.14.09, peanut allergy, asthma) and our rainbow baby girl Sweetpea (born 4.14.13). Forever missing my angel babies--Riley, Paisley, and Waverley!!

Decluttering my life...
