I'm refinishing our trim and cabinets (goodbye 80's golden oak). With the bathroom cabients, I didn't bother painting the inside. However, I'm wondering if I should paint the inside of the kitchen cabinets. I think it would look nicer, but there area a couple of corner cabinets that would be difficult and it would add a lot of work. My process has been sand, prime, paint, and paint a second coat. Thoughts?
I wouldn't do it. I did the same thing last summer (check out the "show us your clean, organized space" thread.. and you can see. I didn't do the inside of the cabinets, but I DO regret not doing the back of the doors... and will eventually take them all off again and redo them.. I will also paint the inside of the cabinets that I took the doors off of lol

I'd only paint them if they really needed it. The shelves and windowsills in my sons room took about a month to stop being tacky when things were set on them. They felt ok to the touch but things set on them for a while would stick. And that was with Benjamin Moore paint, nothing cheap. So be prepared to not use them for a good month if you do paint them.
My husband cringed at my contact paper idea. He seems to think living without cabinets for a month is fine, despite that we have little kitchen space as it is. We shall see.
