Hello ,

today I

- went on a major grocery shopping marathon with my friend

- did about 50 loads of dishes ( or so it feels )

- cooked , pureed and froze a few dinners for my baby sweet pea

- made tacos for everybody

- washed and dried a few blankets

- played outside with my boys , while the lo´s were sleeping

- swept and mopped the floors downstairs

- gulped down a few cups of tea in-between to keep me going

and NOW I am ex-****-ted orngbiggrin.gif

so I think , my clean clothes can wait until tomorrow fo me to put them away

The last thing , I will do now is to sleepytime.gif

Good morning ,

it´s Sunday , so I think , I will be taking it easy today , just a few things on my agenda

- making sure , everyone has clean school clothes ready for tomorrow

- continue my clothes washing project ( honestly , I don´t know where it all comes from sometimes  winky.gif )

- make dinner

- give babies a bath

- make sure everybody else has taken a shower

- MAYBE make cinnamon rolls , since DS3 has been nagging me to do so , but not sure yet , if I´m

  up to it today

- everytyhing else , I don´t know yet

Have a nice Sunday everyone  thumb.gif

have had a mad 5 days ....

trying to make myself feel that "today is a new chance to get things right" (and to forget all that is late// am stressed about ...)

- got up, got washed, dressed, had breakfast

- nipped to the market (= i know what we are having for dinner tonight)

- 2 loads of laundry out of the machine and on line to dry on balcony

- folded 3 loads of laundry, it's partly put away

- dropped at some aquaintances-expat & phoned the insurance on their behalf to sort out the glitch

in theory it's sorted out ... in practice they were supposed to be e-mailed 3 documents that they would forward to me so that i could print them for tomorrow

.... but i haven't received anything yet, so that's pending, progress is made on that but it's not a wrap.

- fed the kids a slice of pizza in town, standing, and hurriedly came back to get DD2 changed & walked to her dance class, we arrived about 30 seconds before the teacher

- dropped the recyclable stuff at the collecting point, hadn't gone for at least 5 days so that was an armload

- picked up 5 items at the corner store

- went to retrieve DD2 from danse class

- helped DS with math exercise & preparing his sports bag for later on today

- about to make some pancakes for afternoon snack so as to use an egg that needs to be used

- a third load is in the machine & have to re-make 2 beds

Hi IsaFrench, you might want to concentrate on getting things just "ok". I try to use the motto: "Taking care of 20% of the work solves 80% of the problem". It takes away a lot of stress if I try to do "just enough". I try to wipe up spills quickly and pick up stuff when it's small so that it doesn't become too big. Otherwise, I just get overwhelmed.

So far today I:
*made breakfast and coffee. I was so hungry!
*got DD off to school
*rinsed the dishes and cleaned the counters, hand washed the wine glasses
*put out the trash and opened the windows
*made the bed
*straightened up
*made my breast appointment thumb.gif
*did a meal plan and went to the grocery store thumb.gif
*put dinner in the oven
*read reading.gif and relaxed
*walked jog.gif
*watched Survivor

Once again I didn't get anything done yesterday.. Im really tired and dragging.. I did get some done today, I got the house picked up at least orngbiggrin.gif

I also

cut out the baby's coming home dress

helped DD1 cut out the ribbon kitty she is making for the baby

cut out a dress for the stuffed horse the girls picked out for the baby

made breakfast and lunch (and it was something more than PB&J!)

folded and put away the laundry that has been sitting on the couch for 4 days Bolt.gif

finished the knot blanket

did the outline

did two sections

Now Im going to go sew the coming home dress. When Im done with that Im going to help DD1 sew the ribbon cat she has been working on for the baby and finish the black skirt. When I get done with that Im going to start deep cleaning the kitchen.. By the time I get that at least part way done it will be time to do the afternoon clean up and make dinner.

OkiMom; 4 days on the couch when you're almost due? Psh. That's on top of things! I left my laundry IN THE WASHER for 4 days. And then, of course, had to rewash it so it didn't smell like the drain. By my estimation, you're winning. (Especially since yours is now put away...) I also LOVE that your kids do arts and crafts and that you are still sewing! bow.gif

Tonttu; I'm sorry you feel like you're dragging. :( I hope things pick up again!

We are moved, and I know I don't post here much, but I read it every time there's an update. It is so nice to remember that everyone else has to-do lists as long as themselves, too!

GO TEAM!!!  energy.gif

Oki , you need to seriously LAY on the couch and keep your feet up more than anything !

I always feel like I have a lot to do and I always add to the list , but compared to you ... eyesroll.gif

Please take it a bit more easy !

Well , anyway so far I have

- made THE best banana cake with cream cheese frosting , I have EVER tasted in my life ( and I´ve seen a few good ones )

- sorted a pile of laundry

- played with DD2

- made a quick lunch for everybody

- filled and started the dishwasher after DD1 emptied it for me

I still need to :

- buy some dog food

- make sourdough starter for this recipe , I´ve ben dying to try

- wash some more clothes

- help my sons clean the upstairs hallway

- TRY to reorganize my closet

- cook dinner

- give baby and DD2 a bath ( hopefully ) , but I may just do that tomorrow night . Let´s see , how dirty they get , before the day is over

And before I go to bed , I WILL be reading my knitting magazine subscription , that came in the mail 4 days ago !

Have fun and enjoy the day , bejeweled  ! thumbsup.gif

Made the mistake of walking past the DVD section , when I was at the store .

So now we have a new DVD , I´ve been wanting to see for a while , guess that puts a damper on the projects , I wanted to do shrug.gif

Oh well , I can sort my laundry just as well in the living room as in the laundry room !

So I had plans for the weekend that my washing machine and oldest decided weren't happening.. Friday my washer flooded the kitchen, spent all night trying to fix it to have it flood the kitchen again on Saturday morning.. Then my oldest woke up running a high fever and coughing. Spent Saturday taking care of her and cuddling in bed because cuddles are the best medicine ever invented (just ask my children).. Sunday my husband FIXED our washer (a kitchen rag ended up in the pipes) but my daughter still wasn't feeling well so I spent more time cuddling.. I did decide that I'm tired of trying to keep everything clean all the time so if people want to complain about a messy house they can just not come over anymore.. Honestly I think I needed the weekend to remind me of what is important and that's taking care of my littles. Luckily my children are young enough where I still have time to put it into practice.. Now, next time I start obsessing over how clean the house is can someone throw a tomato at me? My house is never really horrible, just tiny and cluttered and that is what happens when you have little ones under feet. Im still in the military thinking of everything having to be ready for inspection at a moments notice and honestly its just to much. I spend the whole day feeling bad about myself because Im not "doing enough" around the house and if I do anything I feel bad for not "doing enough" with my children. Yea, I think I need a vacation

Today my oldest is starting to feel better (I'm assuming at least, she ate her breakfast.. my breakfast and her sisters breakfast then asked for a snack lol.gif) so I'm going to camp out on the couch and plan school things today (I'm making activity packs for after the baby so my girls have something to do while I'm nursing).. I'm going to try to get the kitchen and bedrooms picked up since my FIL is coming tonight to stay for the next two weeks. My oldest asked if she could help finish the baby's coming home outfit so I figure that would be a good art project for today since it needs to get done anyway. Oh and I should get the wet towels off the back porch and wash them before they attract to many nasty bugs or stink up my back yard.

Im declaring yesterday a success since I almost caught up on laundry and my children willingly cleaned their bedroom and playroom..

Lets see what I can get done today.. FIL is here (yay for a safe drive, I was worried with all the storms around) so the kids are happy to have someone to play with them.. Im sticking with 10 minute busts and see what gets done.. Things I know need to get done:

- make 3 loaves of sandwich bread

- make 3 loaves of french bread

- daily chores: kitchen (oven, microwave, fridge, sweep/mop) and living room (windows, vacuum, tv stand)

- school with the girls (phonics, math, science, music, art, handwriting, needlepoint and social studies)

- finish up laundry (managed to get all but 3 loads of clothing and the diapers done yesterday

- morning and afternoon clean up

-dinner: chicken tetrizini and french bread with veggies on the side

- if time: finish the baby's coming home outfit and blanket, cut out the blessing gown and work on the sweater/beaning for the coming home outfit.
