I have never taken part in one of these challenges, so I was wondering what it's about :).  Is it a 100 item declutter type thing?  I am in desperate need to declutter our home so if that's what this is...I'm in!  We have such a small space and so much stuff it's ridiculous.  It doesn't help that my husband is technology obsessed (I am too to an extent) and so we have a ridiculous amount of DVDs and video games.  He also keeps the cases to every single dvd and video game because he wants to eventually have a huge shelf with them on there...we literally have bins and bins full of empty cases >_<  I need that space lol

WELCOME!

It is indeed a declutter challenge. There is also a big thread to try and declutter 2012 items in 2012. We've done it every year for a few years.

I personally was not up the sustained challenge of 168 or so items every single month - I think I made it close to 1800 last year. It was hard for me to keep track.

But 100 items every month seems do-able to me. People can join and take months off as the mood strikes. Start counting 'em out, Christina H.

I'm in because I need something new to remotivate me, as I have stalled a bit with the 2012 thread.

So I guess I'll do this and then add whatever I get done here over onto my 2012 total. smile.gif

Good will drop complete - was motivated because they are giving movie passes for Wednesday drop offs - but - it's only good Mon-Thurs, which doesn't help me much, but oh well.

Also added 2 shirts that are slightly fraying but it was hard to give them up.

2 old brief-case type bags.

and did a MAJOR clean-up of little papers and post-it notes around my work desk.

Calling it 80 to go.

was having an overview by moving the mouse over your post and was wondering ... "24 plates to give away ... ok,*.... but 25 mascaras , who can have 25 mascaras to get rif of ???" ...

i like the idea of decluttering, it's just that it has to go item by item that I find hard (since I think too much with EACH item ....)

well, I shouldn't be killing time on the computer but get on with decluttering instead ....

79 to go.

8 and a half pair of newborn socks and an old new born diaper to neighbor. She gave me 6 of the socks, so it seems fair they should go back.

Cleaning DD's room -

so far, 1 old Sky Mall magazine.

68 to go. I've really petered out this month. I hope I can get rid of some more baby clothes.

4 pairs of shorts that were in the back of my car to a mom I just met (one of DDs friends parents). The mom was on her way to buy shorts in that size at the resale shop.

64 to go. DD has also identified some stuff to go, which is really, really good!

Epic fail for me this month.

4 shirts and a pair of pants to Goodwill

Plus cleaned out the car, so I'm calling it as

45 to go for the month, or a total of

55 items out.

I'm carrying around a ba g of baby clothes for a friend, but haven't seen her. Should I give them to someone else?

The good news is that I can make a fresh start of April.

Also did the tax tuff today, so the thelps a lot. Not sure if I can count it as clutter.
