It's New Year's resolution/restart time, so here's a new 2013 thread for Motivated Moms! This is basically a calendar for keeping up with housework:

http://www.motivatedmoms.com/

Seems like a no-brainer for neat/tidy people, I'm sure, but very helpful to those of us who are housework-challenged! :-)

I first found MM on a thread here and have used it on and off for about a year plus a few months. When I keep up with it, our apartment definitely looks better. Mostly I can combine this with a homemade to-do list with categories (work, kids' schools, my school, kids' activities, food shopping, other shopping, etc.) and meal plan & have all my to-do stuff in one place.

Anyway, feel free to join in if you use Motivated Moms or something similar!

Thanks for this! I decided yesterday that I am a reactive rather than proactive housekeeper so that's why I always feel like I am 2 steps behind the work. Not this year, I am all about changing the way I look after the house!!! I've started using the app and so far I like it :) Now... I probably I should be doing something else right now but this is my "quiet time" and I'm off to make some tea :)

pixie- That's a good way to describe it! My challenge is making a place for everything and then keeping things in their place. I know that helps a ton, but we have more decluttering to do before that is really effective. Makes cleaning so much easier. Of course, I have had a nasty virus for the past week, and it's all I can do to keep things running at a minimum, so I just have to give myself permission to start MM next week when I feel better. I'm aiming for doing some catch-up over the weekend and then kicking it off on Monday.
