Has anyone used a lego recycler like either of these:

http://www.brickrecycler.com/
or
http://replaybricks.com/

I am interested in downsizing my son's collection. His kits likely have 75% of the contents and boxes so not really enough to donate individual kits to a thrift store for sale. Our local craigslist, has lots of offers of loose legos and not many takers. So don't want that route either.

Thanks in advance for the feedback on getting rid of a ton of legos!

I havent used any of those but I know in my area the follow are always looking for any type of lego : Foster homes, group homes, inhome daycare, after school daycare programs, Library programs (they run a lego camp program), autistic center/ department of developmental delay. Those programs don't really care if they have complete sets, they are looking for pieces in general.

I don't know where you are but this really isn't true in my area at all, in fact the opposite! People want parts and thrift stores gladly take them ASAP! Besides as the other posted pointed out, other groups will as well, no problem!

They go super quick! They sell "parts" on ebay, real legos go for $$.

If they are real legos and not knock offs they are really in demand and any types, not full sets, just simply bags of lego pieces are wanted.
