I don't get to post too often, but I do enjoy reading everyone's posts and I have learned a lot. I have always had a problem getting organized with housework, but my friend wrote a book that has helped me a lot. I don't want people to think that I am just trying to sale something, I know it helped me and might help someone else. Here is her description.
"Fairy Clean House" ebook is available, it is better than Fly lady (no anoying emails every 15 minutes), and more thorough than Motivated Moms.
It is a housekeeping journal, complete with 8 tabs and a pouch.

The first tab is called day by day: under this tab you will find a checklist for each day of the year (2005), with specific chores posted on each day and a few blanks for adding anything in that customizes it for you. It also has a notes column and an appointment column for each day.

The second tab is Daily chores: Under this section you will have one page that is a complete list of the things you should be doing daily, plus I provided extra sheets for you to customize to your personal needs, the extra sheets are, for example, titled morning chores, afternoon chores, evening chores, before bed chores, and I put in a child's chore list. There is Daily chores listed each day, in the day by day lists.

The third tab is weekly chores: In the day by day tab each day of the week you have a room listed (ex.) monday says bathrooms, under the weekly chores you will find your detailed cleaning chart for that room.

The fourth tab is Menu Planning: I am going to put in this section in a sheet protector that you can write on and in the sheet protector on one side is a blank menu, on the other side is a blank well organized grocery list.

The fifth tab is finances: I have a wonderful worksheet in this section for budgeting, and another worksheet for bills. On one side you will list bills for that month, date due, and how much. On the other worksheet you will put your monthly cash flow and with this you should be able to see all your outgoing and incoming and be able to form a budget.

The sixth tab is an address section: self - explanatory.

The seventh tab is want list: How often have you gotten that call from someone saying "what does so and so want for christmas (or birthday)" Well here is a list to keep track of everyones wishes. yours, spouse, children.

The eighth tab is for cards and gifts: There are three pages one for b-days/anniversary cards (for each month of the year), one for holiday cards (did you buy, did you send, and for who) and the last page is for holiday gift list (who you bought or need to buy for, what to get them, and a checkbox if it has been taken care of).

Your pouch is for putting things in it to go along with all the stuff to help simplify your life, I have a list of things that should be included. (I think on this one I will fill it upon request for the cost of the items) otherwise I will just put a list in the pouch of what it should consist of.

Sorry for such a long post. Thanks for reading. Pm me with any questions.

sounds like a great concept, though I already have a binder like this that I customized for myself. It might be a good gift, though!

No, she doesn't have a website, but you can email her at jamico314@aol.com. She will send you a sample and then you can decide from there. I like the fact that you can customize it. i added a homescool section to mine.
