I have a cabinet in my kitchen that I keep all my kids art supplies in, and it comes to about countertop height. Right now I have a decorative shelf on the wall above it, with knick-knacks, which I do like. But i'm thinking it would be a MUCH better use of space if I had heavier duty shelfs that I could keep things on, cookbooks, binders for kids stuff, dried beans in jars and the like. Problem is, I'm having a hard time finding shelves that can hold more weight, and not look crappy hanging in my kitchen where everyone will see them.

Do any of you know where I could get some nice looking, heavy duty ones, without spending a fortune?
