My three boys share one small room. They do this by choice. not only is their room small, but it is weird shaped. THe two oldest boys share a queen size futon. The futon was on a low frame, and it was really hard to tell where the bed ended and the floor began. Also, there was no under bed storage.
DH built a frame for the big bed. He is going to build one for the little bed as well. But, I went organizational all over the room, and wanted to post some before and after pics.

Before

They have this funky little closet that is just a cubby with shelves:

Now, for the after pictures. Pete built a frame for the big futon, to get it up off the floor. We were able to get some storage crates under. He will be building one for Elis bed in the next few days.

ok, here is the closet. I decided to take the book shelf out altogether and move it upstairs. We are now using the shelves in the closet for books, and storing the toys under the bed. This is still a work in progress, as we plan to add hooks in the big white spaces, for the boys to hang their jackets.

this is the space where the bookshelf was. The thing that is hanging down is reks nebulizer tubing and mask. I have left it hanging down so that we will remembr where we put it when we need it. The shelf it is on is about 6 1/2 feet up!

Nice white space where there will be hooks:
