I SERIOUSLY need to start getting my home in order & that means starting to get rid of ALOT of junk. I think I am going to start in the :LOL ha, ha junk room that houses the computer & all my paperwork stuffs. My question is how long do you have to keep your paperwork/records? I have old bank statements, taxes etc... Also does anyone have some good suggestions on how to organize all that is left over? Thank!

i had found some good links right before ds was born (my version of nesting). of course, i didn't save those links... here's some that may be useful:

http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov/cic_text/m...eeprecords.htm
http://www.bankrate.com/brm/itax/edi...ews_071900.asp
http://www.librarysupportstaff.com/papermngt.html (this one has links to a variety of sources, some of which are dead links - beware)

unfortunately, i have yet to actually finish our recordkeeping remake. i think i got about 95% done.
