Does anyone have a checklist type thing of how to clean rooms? I'm talking about a 1x / week "good" cleaning, or even every other week. I'm thinking things like dust, sweep mop floors, put everything in place, everythign that doesn't belong out etc. I have 3br (including my master bedroom which is a war zone) and 1 living room. The kitchen is under control, I can go through and just do what needs to be done, but in the other rooms I get overwhelmed, always half cleaning them and then leaving too much for later so it never feels "clean" and orginized even if it's not really dirty. And yes, I'm decluttering as I go

TIA

Check out the "daily list" thread (I just bumped it for you). It might not be exactly what you want but might give you ideas

You can also check out Flylady for ideas in getting your own list together. Or Motivated Moms if you want to just download one already done for you.

I use FlyLady's "zone" lists. I love that the list is already done for me because sometimes I get caught up in making the "perfect" list and don't ever get any actual cleaning done! LOL!

Thanks I have read though those. I am more trying to figure out what the PP posted, (sorry forgot name ) as in if today is my day to clean the TV room what exactly should I do so it's "clean" without being overbearing and me getting caught up in perfectionism

I've been going by a checklist, and it really helps out. It keeps me focused without feeling overwhelmed, and my home is finally getting to be under control.
