2 of my ds's worn-out sneakers
15 children's books that we don't read
2 goodie bag things
So far 36/500...I'm on my way!
Oh! I have over 30 Mother-ease diapers and liners that are still in good conditions that we no longer need. I would like to find a good home for them!
Missionary, birth-worker, midwifery student
Mama to DD (9yr), DS (3yr), & UC twin DDs (5yr)
Today I am working on the kids playroom some more. I have toys to go through and things to organize. Hoping to get rid of more toys....I got rid of a ton last time but we still have a ton.
Half-marathon running Mommy to 3 spunky girls and 1 sweet boy. Spending my days and nights where my kids need me most- at home with them!!
I didnt count anything- but I think 80 real items is a good number.
OK, today I managed to clear out the kitchen and added 106 things. Mostly old cookbooks, and a lot of teflon stuff that I haven't used in a couple of years, etc. PLUS I managed to get rid of a stuffed fish dh brought home a couple years ago (with the deluded notion that we were going to HANG IT UP!!!!!) he, he, he. Someone else can deal with it now! All has been freecycled and is awaiting pick-up!
This is addictive
I did make banana bread to use up some of the sad frozen bananas taking up space in my freezer, got rid of a total eyesore of a fisher-price basketball net that ds dragged home from the neighbor's garage sale last summer and returned/donated sundry other miscellania.
Tomorrow: a box of toys and books and a stack of photos going to a friend's house. Woot!
0/500 right now
Old toys pieces and other junk to garbage from dd's room = 85:
1 old frame
Recycled - 2 magazines, 1 box and 14 other assorted items
Gave 4 birth items and 4 baby items to a friend who is due anyday.
111 + 116 = 227/500
Almost halfway there!
a lot of vases, candles and other decorative stuff freecycled (52 items right there)
some half dead plants pitched (2)
some jarred baby food freecycled (10)
some magazines recycled (22)
I'm going to join up mamas! Time to get things decluttered for the holidays and the new year!
0/500 right now
I know I'm up over 100 really, because I keep tossing things out of the fridge and throwing away random toy bits as I go through my day, but I'm too crazed to keep count. I have SOOO much stuff to take to Goodwill--at least 50 things--but I never have the time to get there, except on Sunday, when of course they're closed. And I'm having trouble getting some Freecycle stuff out of here--keeps falling through : Anyway, should be getting rid of an old footbath/massager and a big bag of sheet sets and top sheets tomorrow, provided the Freecyclers actually show up. And, bonus! I was in the attic today, and I found a thermal blanket I've been looking for (trying to keep the heat down at night) and a whole bunch of sheet sets that fit our bed. I've been thinking about getting new (to us) sheets, but now I don't have to!
Melissa, a homeschooling, -guzzling, SAHM of two: and
Including two items returned to rightful owners. (I love those!)
Sadly, my house looks like a garbage heap though. I've gone through so much stuff and bagged it up and now missed two trash days by oversleeping. Don't get the wrong idea. It's not gross trash like old food or anything, just random crapola that's been hanging around my house. This pregnancy is kicking my butt and so I can't carry any of it out myself. That's Dh's job tomorrow... I have a tally for all of those bags, but I refuse to add it to my total until after it is out of the house...
Our house is bigger, but doesn't have as much storage. So...off I go.
I'm boxing everything up-now I just need to find the local thrift store!
This weekend will be a huge decluttering weekend but as of right now I'm at 0/500!
We are a family of Jesus loving urban-nesters living the granola life in a not-so-crunchy city. Our kids (DS 8, DS 7, DD 4) are home birthed and educated, and we just found out that a new Little will be added to our roost mid-April '14!
*bagged up baby clothes for goodwill/holiday helper boxes
*recycled all the catalogs, political mailers, and random papers
*given a stroller we don't use to my mom for when she babysits
*forced dh to *finally* take out the recycling
*repurposed some of the storage in dd's room for my craft supplies
*cleaned even more crap out of the bathroom :
so that puts me at 297/500 and i'm going to go through my clothes hopefully this weekend to keep adding!
Obstruct livery vehicles!
49 mix tapes from high school boyfriend, to trash
20 other tapes for Goodwill
(total tapes = 1)
17 to Goodwill from front hall closet
9 from under sink
49 from utensil drawer
43 from junk drawer
11 from other junk drawer
18 other kitchen
this is fun!
So I'll mark my count at 205/500. Next weekend my mother is coming over to play with her granddaughter while I clean out our home office to turn it back into a dining room. So much stuff!
