I've got the entire house to myself. Well, I do have to share it a bit, since the dog is still here, but I digress.
This house is a freaking disaster and I had every intention of cleaning like a maniac while DH and DD are out. I cannot get motivated though. I did clean the bathroom. but now I've got crap from the bathroom on the floor in the mudroom.
Heh. Sounds like my house! I can't get motivated either. I feel like it is just an endless battle. I do laundry and I turn around and there is another pile. I wash dishes and in a few hours there is a sink full again. I started setting a timer for 10 minutes and tackling one small thing- the dishes, the junk drawer, the computer desk, or whatever. My deal is that I get so overwhelmed if I realize I have to do the whole house, and that makes it hard to do any of it.
I hear you. I really should be cleaning up tonight. My youngest DD was sick tonight, and I have a box full of pukey wooden blocks sitting in the bathtub waiting to be cleaned off. I soooo do not want to do that right now.
Thanks for the inspiration, girls. I put on my Martina McBride Christmas CD, got out of my pj's (Yes, I was still in my pj's when I posted
) and got the entire dining room CLEAN and DECLUTTERED. I also did a bit in the kitchen, AND cleaned out DD's closet!
There is more to do, and I thought I'd have more time, yesterday, but Dh and Dd got home just before dinner time. And I can't clean ANYTHING with Dd around.
Anyway, thanks a bunch for helping me get motivated!
This is a situation that deserves dancing produce!!!!!!
