ITA, love the red

I've thought about putting baskets underneath too but haven't yet. I haven't found ones that I like and that are the right size. Right now that table is in our more formal living room but if we rearrange a little and that room becomes more informal with toys in it I thought the baskets under the table could be a storage option for the toys.

I really liked the blue when I first opened the picture, but then saw the red and LOVED it! I am a real red person anyway, but it looks great with your rug.

The blue seems so calm and soothing. It makes the room feel really tranquil and cozy. I like the red as well and might use it during parties and other functions where you want the mood a bit more uplifting.

From a design site, colors and moods:

http://iit.bloomu.edu/vthc/Design/psychology.htm

Quote:
We associate red with love, valentines, danger, desire, speed, strength, violence, anger, emergency exit signs, stop signs and blood.

Red can evoke a fight-or-flight response, raise blood pressure and make the heart beat faster.

Blue represents peace, tranquility, calm, stability, harmony, unity, trust, truth, confidence, conservatism, security, cleanliness, order, loyalty, sky, water, cold, technology, and depression.

So...what feelings do you want to evoke in your home?

Perpetually breastfeeding or pregnant ENFP mom to a lot of kids...wife to a midwestern nice guy...living in tropical paradise...pink cats and homebirths rock!

I like both of them Sorry to side-track here, but are they machine-washable? I need to find some cute slip covers for our couches & that is just a must. TIA
