I was away this weekend so I got very little done. I did manage to toss 27 more items when I got home today. This brings my total to 165/300. I don't see any way I will make my goal this month.

I just got 3 more things! I was going to do more, but the next step in the basement is going to be a big time commitment. So I'm procrastinating! I think tomorrow I'll work on it while I'm doing laundry.

I am starting VERY late for March, but need to get back at it. No procrastinating! I live in a 650 sq ft apartment, and I need to do major declutter to make room for 2x the baby clothes, etc. to be out of storage.

So my goal for March... hmm, with 5 days left.
How about 150.

I couldn't stand it, I decluttered 32 more things! I found some old jeans that almost fit me. They're great motivation to lose a few more pounds! Plus, I almost bought myself more, now I know not to!

I'm not sure that I am going to make it. However, DH is just getting started and will take a box a week to the dump, he kind of sounds like a yard sale would be OK and I deep cleaned the bathroom (laundry), the half bath (where we leave farm stuff to thaw during the winter) and the kitchen floor. These were huge accomplishments for me. I feel like Spring can come now. My FIL and his wife are visiting this coming weekend so my timing was pretty good.

I also decluttered the top of the piano of some pictures. It changes everything.

I had hopes for the bonus round. It sounds like everyone is doing really well.

Well, we spontaneously decided to get rid of a dresser. After being stood up by 3 Freecyclers, my next-door neighbor decided to take it! Thank God, because I was about to lose my mind! The dresser, however, doesn't really count in the grand scheme of things here...maybe I'll add a new category for furniture, since I have an entertainment center I'd also like gone by the end of the week. Yep, I'll just do that.

5/7 bags of "stuff" given away

7/10 pairs of shoes given away

20/25 pieces of clothing given away

20/35 pieces of baby clothes given away

2/5 bags of papers to be recycled/shredded

1/2 pieces of furniture to be given away or sold for cheap

WHEEEE! I'm so excited. After manic cleaning on Saturday and Sunday for DS birthday party, I've got another 5 boxes to take to SVDP. That's another half carload, at least, and puts me over my goal. And there is still a few more days in March ... hmmm ... what else can I tackle??

Did a HUUUUUGE declutter today. I even have before and after pics to prove just how large a job this was. I tackled my problem area - the laundry/craft room, and the adjoining storage area.

BIG FAT DECLUTTER

I have 4 bags of garbage to go out to the curb. As well as 16 boxes that are packed up and ready to go the consignment shop.

My March total so far?

1032/1000 Yay! I made my goal.

I have to say, after doing the hardest room in the house, the rest of the rooms are going to be a breeze. I'm aiming to have it completely done for treasure map time.

Anybody care to join me in a massive underware decluttering? I am vowing to get rid of all of the undies that I have to tuck into my pants. You know, the ones I've had since high waisted pants were in style. The ones that stick out over the tops of my pants three inches so I have to scrunch them down below the waistband. I don't wear my pants super low or anything, but even the slightly below the waist ones are too low for my old undies.

Please tell me I'm not the only one out there with scrunched up undies. :

Sorry, I had to crack up at this. I did my major underwear purge in January. I think I got rid of something like 40 or 50 pairs! I had a lot that were really old, like from late elementary school and jr. high.

well as the month is closing out dh is getting into the de-clutter a little bit more. he actually went through the computer parts in our e-bay closet. sorted them out. threw away just a few things and decided we could sell a few more.

i finally got the kitchen table (currently stored in our garage : ) decluttered so he can refinish it. then we can sell the one we're using now.

i went through the toys in the living room again, and the stuff in the e-bay closet. some i need to go list on tp, craigslist, etc NOW . some is yardsale material. (and i just realized i still have time to put an ad in the paper if i want to have on saturday. ) and some is actually keepable.

kurt finally got started on the computer hes buildng for my mom. so that'll be de-cluttered soon.

i'm feeling good about what i've done

you should too!

Okay, I do have some more undies I need to purge. Here's a fun underware story. I knew a few guys in college whose Mom bought them literally 30 pairs of underware so they would always have clean underware! They figured they'd visit home once a month, so the Mom could wash them them! Okay so now I'm motivated to look again at my undies!!

Last night I found a stash of things left over from last year's garage sale. Mostly baby clothes, so I threw them in the wash and they'll head to the consignment store this weekend, along with my What to Expect the First Year book (unread) and a baby t-ball set. (Does one child really need three of these?????) Oh-and a weird light up noise making plastic dog thing given to DS by a friend, and a play kitchen I'm getting rid of (since I bought a different one : ) I didn't count yet, but will add them to the total once I deliver them.

I also brought a bag of stuff to the crisis pregnancy center-baby care products that we'll never use. Tonight I'm dropping off two jars of babyfood and a two boxes of baby cereal to a friend who uses them. I keep my list at home, so I'm not sure what my total is, but I'm at about 400/2007 for the year. I'd better get cracking! I only count actual "stuff"-not junk mail or papars or anything like that, so I either need to start counting it or really get rid of a lot more stuff!

Now that the weather's nice, I can bring DS outside with me and really tackle the garage. That'll add to my total very quickly.
