Well...we've had a productive day here today!
We brought one large apple box full of DVDs and VHS tapes to the Salvation Army thrift store.
I have two more apple boxes full of books ready to go to a thrift (we rotate through all of them in town to spread the wealth).
I decided to take it room-by-room and we're nearly finished with the living room.
I need to go pick up more boxes tomorrow.
Any tips for helping a teen who seems to like to hoard? My DS is really reluctant to let go of things.
I've told him the criteria I use -
1. Does the item bring joy to my life?
2. Do I use this item on a regular basis?
3. If I do use it - is it something I need to own or could I borrow/rent it when I do need to use it?
He did cull out some of his DVD/VHS collection, but he still has a HUGE bunch of them left that he rarely watches.
He also insisted that I keep some of his kids' VHS tapes for his little sister to watch later on. She's 2 1/2 now and really has no interest at all in watching videos/DVDs unless they include real animals.
