Another 102 items over the past few days. I tackled the glove box and other storage areas of our car, and also was forced to empty some more drawers in the bedroom since my ds started getting into them. That brings me to 402/500.

25 more DVD's decluttered and my TV finally died last week (YAY!!) so it is going this weekend. It is so heavy that I can't lift it and DH is only off on weekends. Now to convince him that we no longer need a TV or at least to live with the tiny 13 incher in my room.

Right...like that's gonna happen

At least I can enjoy the silence until we can afford a new one.

I'm only at 253 of my 300 goal. I don't think I'm going to make it. Maybe if I get into the bedroom closet I can do it! Wish me luck.

Made it to 285. It would have been over 300 if I had counted the hangers as more than one item, though. I'm going to stop there. I'm quite happy with my progress.

237/500

made a big push today, but I don't think I'm going to make my goal Today's numbers:

51 broken toys, pieces of toys, and easter eggs thrown away
10 pieces of junk mail gone through and thrown away
8 weeds pulled from the (former) flowerbed
2 drink bottles in the yard recycled
1 small pool's worth of water dumped
3 paper projects completed and mailed off
2 items sold on TP (and some more pending)
3 items taken out of the car and thrown away
1 big project moving all the toys in the living room to the boys' rooms

So that brings my overall to 317/500. Still some more that I plan on doing tonight.

My old total was 62/150 and I didn't quite make 150 for June but I made a lot of progress and am motivated.

1 keepsake baby bowl and 5 utensils freecycled
2 boxes of old pasta used for art projects thrown out
sold 3 items on TP blus 1 bonus item
freecycled 3 plastic storage containers
sold obnoxious electroninc globe on Craig's List
sold 2 CDs
gave 2 fans and air matteress to my dad
threw away broken fanny pack and broken shower mirror
threw away/recycled 2 falling apart books
threw away old suction thingie from hospital (almost 4 years old!)
Spent at least 6 hours going through piles of paper and junk mail - counting each hour as 1.

So my grand total for June was 94/150!
Onward to July!
I have a bunch of things posted on Craig's List - hopefully they will sell.

I don't think I quite made my goal of 500, but that's okay. I still made progress. I got rid of at least 50 kitchen items today (canning jars, old mugs, old set of silverware we still had in the basement...). I find it more difficult in the summertime because I don't spend as much time in the house and because I don't want to spend as much time inside sorting through things. And there are Holidays, trips, etc. But I plan to keep plodding on through July.

I didn't even make my goal of 100, but this month we are having a garage sale and moving, so I'm sure I will be getting rid of much more. Is there a July thread?

Since I've never done one I'd feel funny starting the thread. Is there a protocol on this?

Did this happen yet? I can't seem to find it, but then I totally missed the June thead too... I need to do this for July!

I guess I'll go start it, since I've done it a few other months.
