What paperwork do i need to keep and for how long? Here is what I am currently keeping:
bank statements, pay stubs, credit card statements, all correspondence from DHS regarding my dd's Title XIX, health insurance explanation of bennefits(not bills), medical bills paid, 410(k) reports,...I think that is it.

I don't save utility and cable bills as long as I have recorded the payment amount and method somewhere else, I shred credit card offers and throw away or recycle the rest. Do I need to save all of this? When I can I shred it? What and how to you store long and short term paperwork?

Get online bill pay and get rid of all receipts for bills paid. Your online bill pay will keep them forever.

You only need to keep the last 12 months of DHS stuff.

Have your credit card statements emailed to you. Keep them in a special folder.
