I'm in this month. I'm in my 2nd trimester, so lots of new-found energy to use

My goals are the two boxes of papers next to my desk :
I also have a smaller stack on the desk.

The garage has some items that are waiting to be donated.

Setting my goal at 200, but I'm not counting individual paper items. I think I'll just count the piles as 1 each to keep myself honest about the rest of the decluttering around here!!

Oh nesting phases do such good things for your house! Although it hurts your spirit when you're done and the baby doesn't come. When I was 36 wks I scrubbed the ENTIRE house top to bottom, washed everything, and set up the house for baby. It was perfect and spotless (the only time this house has looked like that) and baby didn't come for 4 more weeks! I was going nuts!

Any way I have 3 more books to get rid of. And a list of other big stuff that'll go in the garage sale Sat. I'll list it later.

68/100 items

TARGET AREAS:
Office:
sort paperwork
organize file cabinets
clean off bookshelves -3
organize craft supplies
clean off sewing table
clean off desk
clean out boxes -4

Living Rm:
clean off end table
clean out coffee table

Kitchen: clean off table

Bedrm: clean off shelves

Right now I'm working on converting all my recipes onto comp. files. I'll print some later to make a master cookbook but I'm just typing them now. Not on the original list but I decided I wanted it done so the cookbooks can go and not be brought to my new house. (hopefully my new house)

We're done decluttering the kitchen! We already made the major effort a few weeks ago and now we finished it--there was surprisingly little to do. Now DH is out getting two "extendable shelves" so that we can make even better use of some space, and then the kitchen will be all wrapped up!

Today, I decluttered my pantry, the junk drawer and the corner cupboard that is worthless because I can't get into it.

I also weeded out 83 books.

I found an old bag that a bed-in-a-bag came in and I recall thinking - wow, this will come in handy one day. You know what it has come in handy for? Transporting 58 other misc. crap items to the yard sale next weekend. It won't be coming home (how great would it be if I could get someone to pay for it???). 59 items for today.

Got rid of 20 more items today, so that's 33/250.

Actually, they're still in my car... does that count? :

I will donate them tomorrow. It's getting trickier because all the uber-local shops (10 minutes away or less) are not accepting donations -- I have to drive about 20 minutes to get to a Goodwill.

Decluttering SAHM of three. Going for 2011 items in 2011.

Had the yard sale today so most of the stuff I decluttered last month is gone now. Tomorrow we'll haul the rest off to Salv. Army. Hopefully Monday I'll hear something back about the house and I can really get busy around here!

OK - 9 items of clothing today. A big bag of fabric and a box of tiles sorted earlier but finally moved to the garage for the goodwill pile. So let's call it:

I'm not sure if I posted in this thread yet. I'm continuing my Sept. goals. We did a huge amount of good decluttering this weekend.

- closed up the pool for the winter
- weeded kitchen garden and disposed of weeds
- started making cold frames for kitchen garden (tidy! simple! useful!)
- dumped wheelbarrow full of yard junk from a long-ago project
- cleaned out car
- cleaned out half of the garage to make space for stuff to Craigslist
- moved three 4-drawer filing cabinets to space in garage, along with changing table and four strollers for Craigslist
- filled car with recycling and things-to-give-to-friends-this-week
- cleaned most of the clutter out of driveway area directly in front of garage
- moved boys' bunk bed out of family bedroom and into space previously occupied by the filing cabinets that are now in the garage. Moved desk from playroom into boys' new room, leaving more space in playroom.
- moved stuff around in family bedroom (minus bunkbeds), and it feels so much emptier now, in a good, uncluttered way.
- decluttered random stuff in kitchen, living room, and playroom
- cleaned out fridge

Whew! I was glad DH was in a project-y mood. Usually I'm the only one. I love this time of year. I didn't get any one area truly and completely clutter-free, but I made significant headway in nearly every room in the house. I'm looking forward to keeping the momentum up this week.
