ooooh, i'm loving this thread!!! :

eviesmom, your house is incredible (i'm surprised i don't remember it from apartmenttherapy; i dig that site)...i love small, utilized spaces.

here's a few shots of our place...the patio shot is old, but it still looks exactly the same. the one shot of the dining room/kitchen is old too, but i explain the 2 changes i've made below:

patio:

Your place has a great contemporary look. The layout of your place reminds me a lot of our last apartment. You've made such a cozy home!

I was one of the original posters on this thread, but have since moved so I wanted to post some pics of my new house. I am only posting the rooms that are done (unpacked and organized), but will post the rest later!

I am working on painting the master bedroom (it is sort of pinkish red right now and I am not loving it!). Am also working on the basement and kitchen.

Hope, check out my life at http://thethriftyqueenspeaks.com

The counter top is awesome. It cost $30 for us to make. Dh tried to imprint it with leaves but they disintegrated, I guess plastic leaves would have worked better.

Now we are thinking about doing concrete floors in our dining room, kitchen and foyer.

(what's NAK?)

i made them. the middle one is a poem ("Little Bird") all you need are 3 canvasses from the dollar store, some paints, and something to draw/paint.

Ooh, ooh, pick me. I took a few pics this morning and wanted to share. They're not the best in the world (i.e. I couldn't get a lot of the angles right) but I posted what pics there are on my blog.

Here's my "closet" room:
http://picasaweb.google.com/racheljo...y=ypAuKDVTv-I#

it's 5' x 9'- the crib actually needs to be taken apart and set up the other way (not enough room to turn it) but waiting on dh to get rid of the pipes that were there from the washer/dryer being there.
It's just a temporary room- in a couple years we finish the kitchen and basement, so then the boys can move to the basement and she and this baby can have the bedroom off the livingroom.
