Finally took the rest of the pics I've been meaning to for a while.

Our room has only just recently been converted back to *our* room, but used to be squished with ds's mattress at the side of our bed which was pushed against the window wall.

As you can see the kids area is pretty messy, but easy enough to tidy away.

In the lounge we have kids toys in a couple of nice woven baskets and games/puzzles in the drawers of the cabinet.

It's a Delight-Filled Life.

AngieB - beautiful home! so warm...and I'm super jealous of your beautiful wood cabinets. I hope to one day have the money to redo our kitchen right and put in wooden cabinets.

Ok, I wanted to add these awhile back but never got around to it! We bought this house (1200 sq ft) in June and then did some remodeling and didn't really move in till August. We moved from a 700 sq ft apartment so I didn't want to go and acquire more stuff, but it seems like when you buy a house everyone gives your their crap. LIke the futon, but that is handy.

There is ONE tiny closet in this house so I have had to figure out some creative storage solutions. There is also a laundry room off the dining room which has some shelves and also a garage. Behind the tapestry in the living room is another 10x15 room that will be playroom downstairs along with computer and other bookshelf. So some stuff in living area will be going in there. We have not remodeled kitchen yet, that will be a few years down the road.

Ps. I refinished those floors myself from under years of carpet and linoleum!

Anyway, enjoy looking!

I love seeing everyone's homes. It's inspiring as well as a reality check. Our home is cosy but Martha Stewart I am not!

My sis says I need to post some pics of my house so I'll work on that tomorrow.

Here's our place -

http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...enjesse/house/

I think I took these pics last spring? Not sure. Anyway, we've moved a few pieces of furniture around but otherwise it looks like this most of time. The key for me is definitely not having a lot of stuff and having a very specific place for everything we do have.

And I think a nice color on the walls goes along way to making more "empty" spaces seem warmer.

Ok, my album should be open now!

The shoe rack is from Ikea, I think it was only like $20. The bench we sit on to put on our shoes is my husband's weight bench, so it's doubly useful!

This is soooooooooooo inspiring. I think my frustration around clutter in our house always comes to ahead at Christmas, when we add all the extra Christmasy stuff. ARGH! I feel like we live in a disastrous warehouse compared to these places. I CAN DO IT ! WE DESERVE IT! off to read more pointers from this forum...

Thank you! I love her room as well. It is a condo, I can't afford the 2 million for a house around these parts. I do dream of having an extra bedroom, though.

I'm glad you were finally able to see it.
