I'm a pack rat and the clutter is really starting to build on me. My bathroom counter is full, my walk-in closet is not able to be walked in, my desk is covered, my table is covered, I have owned my home for 7 years and never parked in my garage. Really, I have bad flat surface disease. My freezers need gone through. I just don't know where to begin. My roommate is moving out around Feb. 1. so his clutter and stuff in the garage will be gone then. I only get Wensdays and Sundays off work so it is hard to motivate myself. Help!!! Talk me through this!

I would start with not buying anything unless you KNOW that you absolutely do not have something else that you can use already in your home. Your roommate moving out will give you the perfect place to put sorted boxes of things like donations until you can get them out of your place.

Other ladies here can help you out better than I can, but I would start by picking a small area and clearing it out. Sort it by trash/recycle, donations, and things that have a different 'home' in your place.
