We just moved and I have old records from service providers at the old house that we no longer use. I also have old insurance forms and paperwork from notes on my car that we just paid off. Should I keep these? For how long? When do you toss old paperwork?

I'm a hoarder when it comes to paperwork. I have every utility bill that I have received since I moved out of my parents' house 10 years ago : My dad has everything since they got married...guess I got it honestly, huh?

I think the "rule" is 5 years for tax-related stuff, and I honestly don't see any point at all in keeping utility bills, but I just can't seem to bring myself to throw them away.
