hey I checked out the son's room. (thanks to whoever mentioned that part!) I thought it rocked. Plenty of areas for stuff, but yet organized and visually appealing.

I don't understand how some people can avoid "stuff." (not that I am ripping on a minimalist design/lifestyle I just don't understand it and it is not my aesthetic) I personally love things, I just want them organized.

I love the obsessive organization, there i said it. Like i said not my personality with the decor but i still think it rocks.

To the owner of said amazing house: thanks for stopping by, please stay, please link further things to your site, please please let me copy your laundry room!

This is awesome! Someone else with my furniture esthetic!

I'm really anti-MDF but I think your organization skills are amazing.

As others have said, it's not my style. But I do love to look at other people's houses, and I am inspired by the organization, and some of the ideas. Thanks for the Flickr, Benita, and thanks for posting!

greentara_mama, your house is beautiful. A little spare for me, but close to what I'd choose for myself. I love the wood. I could take just a little of the color from CHez Larsson and apply it to yours, it would be perfect for me.

I think it's beautiful. I don't think I'll ever own a home that looks like that, but it's lovely.

And I'm clueless~ what is MDF? :

I totally love the house.

And I really love the silhouette cards. The vacuuming one cracked me up.

I really enjoyed viewing the photos.. although I wouldn't be all white myself, I LOVED how organised she is. I thought that I was organised, but no, not compared to this lady

It's a really nice home though, so fresh And I've also been given some wonderful ideas on home organisation.

Peace

And while I'm not against it aesthetically, I am environmentally. MDF is one of the biggest pollutants in the home as it's highly chemically treated (formaldehide, I believe). I was advised with my DS to get it out of our house. I think I've gotten it most of it if not all. It's tough, though. Most moderately priced furniture is MDF, at least partially.

Once IKEA gets here, I'll have more reasonably priced pine at my fingertips, which will make avoiding MDF easier.

Hehehehe, IKEA. After this thread, I'll never look at it the same way again!

Some of the items look just too purposefully placed. I dunno how to explain it...doesn't look like anyone actually lives there, ya know? BUT I love the color choices.

ETA: Ahhh, I see the owner found this post. Too funny!

greentara_mama, your home is lovely too. It suits where you live, if that makes any sense.
