Toss. Definately toss.

We put all of our CDs, DVDs, and video games in binders and I LOVE it. I didn't want to part with some of the inserts so we got a binder that will hold our CDs and the inserts that I really wanted to keep.

Now we just need to find someone who wants the jewel cases so we don't have to throw them away.

I work at a retail store in Brooklyn and we accept jewel cases (as well as many other things) for recycling. We send them to a company called Green Disk (www.greendisk.com). I don't know how much it costs to ship things to them (I'm guessing you'd just pay shipping).

Might be worth checking out!

I vote toss. I don't keep any of mine.

I found that the inserts fit in the front of the binders we have. It's like a 16 disc area for something like things that are accessed often or something. Like:

See how it can hold taller things? Very convenient.

There was a really fun posting on Craftster where someone made a room screen by wiring several dozen CD cases together and then painting them with acryllics- she hung it from the ceiling to divide a home office area from the rest of the apartment. I can't seem to find it on their site right now (search is down) but I thought it was a really neat way to re-use them, and solve a decor issue at the same time!

see if you local library needs them. They can often use them to replace the ones that get broken from heavy library use.
