Hi,
I got my 4 hens off of craigslist locally at 8 months (a few months ago), they had just molted and are great layers but he had to get rid of them because they were fighting (not enough room) and he had too many eggs. They arrived missing a lot of feathers - but 3 of the hens grew theirs back. One of them still is missing feathers above the tail feathers - very red and raw and bumpy......what should I do for her? She seems happy and runs around with the other hens....although is a bit thinner than the rest.

The hens have a 1/4 acre fenced that they share with 3 goats. They get layer crumble and scratch plus kitchen scraps and all the bugs and plants in the area they can eat. Their shelter is a horse trailer - they roost up top and lay under boxes in the hay area (where the horses would eat).

TIA

The other hens might be pecking her. Get some stuff called Blue Kote from the feed store. It helps the skin heal and the blue color camoflauges the red spots so that the other chickens won't peck her so much, and I think it tastes bad if they do.
