Has any one used both together? I'm interested in grey watering our garden and fruit trees but we use homemade laundry soap which contains borax. Everything I've read has said not to do it if you use anything containing boron, which borax does.
If it's not an option to do this does anyone know of a good recipe for homemade laundry soap that does not contain borax?
We can always use the grey water with borax to flush toilets but implementing that system is more of a challenge and financially more expensive.
During summer I sometimes pour my dishwater into my garden rain barrels but only if there is already enough water in them to dilute it down. I haven't had any problems with it but like I said, only dishwater. And since we haul all our water, dishwater isn't very much water.
