We're going to try and go and were wondering if anyone else planned on going or if you've gone before and could tell us how it was.

This is what it says about it --
The Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair is the world's largest renewable energy educational event of its kind. Drawing more than 15,000 people to central Wisconsin, the Fair will be June 23-25, 2006. (it's located in Custer, WI)

My husband and I went to it last summer. We had planned on spending two days there but it was small enough that we were able to cover it in one day. They had a lot of info, expecially if you are planning on building or converting to solar, wind, ect. We attended a workshop on strawbale building.
The fair itself was very neat - as you walk through the field of parked vehicles you see lots of veggie cars, hybrid vehicles, and even some old VW vans.
Deffinately worth checking out. We would plan on going this year but just too much going on.

I haven't gone, but I know several people who went over last year from Decorah. They all were very positive about their experience. Definitely sounds worth checking out. But perhaps it's quite similar to the Living Green Expo in the cities? Have you been to that?

I've been to the Living Green Expo a couple of times. I thought it was definitely worth going to. More so if a person were looking to build a new house or remodel the one that they have. We weren't at the time that we went and I don't know when we'll be building either. Currently we're living in a mobile home until we can afford to build.

You missed this years I guess!
