So we were not really sure how to plan a birthday party for a 1YO and so have been draggin our feet. Well the theme is now decided. It's CHICKEN POX!! Yes, that's right, Nic has the pox. So the theme will certainly have to be all things chicken. And all things poxy! I'm thinking of going to the costume shop and getting glue on sores for everyone to put on so they can commiserate with him.
Poor baby. 103.5 fever last night for about 1/2 hour. Came down after a bath and some Tylenol. Thought the little red places were mosquito bites but there are more and more of them and the original looks different than the usual bites. So we're about 85% sure it's the pox.
A friend of mine is planning her daughter's birthday party and, looking for inspiration (or maybe free decorations), asked me what Zaven's partys theme had been. She looked crestfallen when I replied "The Letter Z"

Gus will be 1 tomorrow morning. I'll come back and post about that. Just wanted to say all the pics are great, happy birthday to all the babes, and that I totally got all teary-eyed reading this thread!
Gus was born at 6:55 a.m. on April 23, 2008 at home. He was a chub at 12lbs and 23in. Today, he's 21lb/31in, long and lean. He's such a character. We love him so.
Happy Birthday, Baby!
His birthday cake.
