what does "not showing an interest in food" mean? - Mothering Forums

My DD (10 months) will eat if I feed her pureed foods with a spoon. But she doesn't actually pick finger foods up on her own and put them in her mouth. She has no idea what to do with it. Does this mean that she is not showing a interest in food? or would you say she *does* show an interest in food since she eats when pureeds are fed to her? And is it "normal" for a 10 month old not to know how to pick up and eat food?
